honda amaza wll launch by may 2013 but that too not sure….u will get Mahindra Quanto around 8 lacs and that too a diesel….ad if u want a sedan then you can go for Suzuki Dzire or Ford Classic!!!

Good and Smart Idea for fuel consumption
good tips… I tired coasting on Mumbai-Nashik Express way with my engine off and i suddenly realized that my power brakes wont work. I panickingly pulled my handbrake and my car skidded for a few seconds….haha… i wont do that from now…. 
This is a very good article, covering all aspects, but i have read somewhere that putting the car in neutral whilst driving is sometimes bad for the transmission. Is it true?
ha ha ha @Manzil. i did the same thing. i used some of these tips & i got 30KMPL on my new Dzire Vdi 2012. but with normal driving condition it gives 24 to 25 with AC on.

Coasting in neutral in a very good point, especially in a city like Delhi with lots of flyovers. I have brought this into my driving style and it works. Just dont try it with the engine off 
its a good tip but neither using the ac nor rolling down the window is a highly pathetic idea for people of New Delhi. we live in an extreme weather climate and only using the bloody fan will seriously gonna kill us. its only dzire. I am getting 23 kmpl with AC on. sometime u may get 28 without AC on long highway run.

well the basic things you will need are: 1. Seat Cover, 2. Floor matting, 3. Audio System (four 6′ door speakers are normally enough), 4. Filming on windows, and a spoiler will do the job.

I would say Vento diesel – and the sales figures say so too
I may be a little biased towards the Linea (primarily because I own one) but it does look much much better than the Vento. Even the interiors seem more comfortable! The Vento is still the safer bet though (Going by popular opinion)!
linea – italian beauty with performance.
Though you may not get as many convenience features as the Linea, the Vento diesel is overall a better car to drive.
Though Vento has few horses more then Linea but when you drive at high speed you need confidence that Vento’s Soft suspension never provides neither it’s EPS. I always follow these rules.. and the result is that I can get mileage upto 21KM/Ltr of Petrol some times…..on my HONDA CITY i-VTEC…..

over and above these tips, try and use car pool, it will save you some petrol cost…

Switch off the AC button when the car is cool enough. This applies to cars without climate control. If the car is equipped with automatic climate control, set the car to optimum temperatures to prevent the compressor from running for a long time

Even Better, Keep the Damn Rickshaws off the road, No congestion, No road rage, No frustrated Drivers, No Bottle necks, even the BEST drivers are very calm and better fuel average, I realised our problem really is Very High percentage of Idiots on the Street, and not an inadequate road infrastructure.
I try to switch off engine when stopping at a light or when not in use for more than 1 min. I try to avoid minimum use of AC. This can also help in saving some amount of fuel.

From i10 i can get max. 17 km/ltr (with WIDER TYRE set)..
Its all depends upon the Engine’s Power to Weight Ratio, Tyres, Gear ratio, Aerodynamics, Suspensions etc. etc.

Hey… for bike owners… use better engine oils… timely change the oils and use high performance oils… they improve performance and better accelaration…. Maitain an optimum speed always while riding, for eg: for FZ or Fazer, you get 40+ only if u control and ride at speeds of 45 and 50…. 60 and above dips the efficiency….
And better, dont use performance kits and filters… they can drink the petrol sometimes that when you sometimes hit above 90 or above, the efficiency might be way below 20 sometimes…
24.6 kmpl on verna crdi 1.6- highway
29.3 kmpl on highway for my new Dzire VDi & 25.7 kmpl in city driving… following all the tips for fuel efficiency. Never drive above 80kmph.
