    "Great mileage, handling and legroom"

Bought my Dzire Vdi on 2nd March 2012. I am really surprised because of its mileage on the highway. Before the 1st service I got about 23 to 24 kmpl but after the 1st servicing it just went to its limit .i.e 29.7 kmpl. In city driving condition it gives about 24-25 with AC on all the time. Handling is very soft even on corners & bad roads. Rear legroom has also increased compared to the old

Hypermiling techniques: How to extract maximum mileage from your car

What exactly is Hypermiling? It’s a term given to that style of driving which enables you to extract maximum fuel economy from your petrol or diesel car. In some cases, hypermiling can help you exceed the claimed mileage by more than 50%.

ha ha ha @Manzil. i did the same thing. i used some of these tips & i got 30KMPL on my new Dzire Vdi 2012. but with normal driving condition it gives 24 to 25 with AC on.

HYPERMILING techniques are not always suitable for real-world conditions. Except switching off engine at traffic signals and reducing the weight of the car (don’t remove the spare wheel, tools, warning triangle and first-aid kits, though), indiscriminate use of any of the other steps in dangerous. In real world conditions, I believe it is the Swift Dzire. Claimed mileages might be different, but the new Swift Dzire is even lighter than the old one. The diesel engine of the Dzire is also probably the most reliable and hassle free diesel engine in India. On highway, however, the Verna both 1.4 and 1.6 with its six gears is likely to match or…[Read more]

The Swift Dzire, by virtue of being the lightest of them all. However, on the highway, if you exceed speeds of 100kmph on the Dzire, the fuel efficiency drops to second sport behind the Fiesta.

well the basic things you will need are: 1. Seat Cover, 2. Floor matting, 3. Audio System (four 6′ door speakers are normally enough), 4. Filming on windows, and a spoiler will do the job.

      • Profile picture of %s

spoiler is already integrated in boot. go for 1. art leather seat cover 2.floor matting 3.rear parking camera with sensor 4.filming(front wind shield too) & get a good fabric clothe to clean car. ;)

I may be a little biased towards the Linea (primarily because I own one) but it does look much much better than the Vento. Even the interiors seem more comfortable! The Vento is still the safer bet though (Going by popular opinion)!

Switch off the AC button when the car is cool enough. This applies to cars without climate control. If the car is equipped with automatic climate control, set the car to optimum temperatures to prevent the compressor from running for a long time

Smartly use the AC means we should avoid keeping AC ON on signals, you can also keep AC power at min here… lower rpm lower AC…at higher rpm it doesn’t matter

Hey… for bike owners… use better engine oils… timely change the oils and use high performance oils… they improve performance and better accelaration…. Maitain an optimum speed always while riding, for eg: for FZ or Fazer, you get 40+ only if u control and ride at speeds of 45 and 50…. 60 and above dips the efficiency….
