between 2 to 2.25 L for a good condition car
Rajat’s got the pricing spot on. That’s pretty much what it costs. Here’s more on buying a used City: http://www.cartoq.com/checklist-for-buying-a-used-honda-city/
I think..it is safe to switch off your engine as the engine is already heated for driving over 4 long hours…
It should be parked in a cool place
for natural aspirated vehicles it is not much of a problem. But If you have a turbo vehicle petrol/diesel ,it is advisable to switch off the engine after 1 min of idling to keep the turbo running properly and to prevent it from blowing pre-maturely.Do not raise the engine before switching off.Regards…
It is better not to. Giving a 15-30 second idle before turning the engine off after a long or hard drive is a best practice for all cars, and a must do for turbo engines.
never accelerate the engine, let it for idling for a min that always good with vehicles with turbo charger for rest of the vehicles u can directly switch it off
wait for 1 minute and switch of it
Always best to wait for 30 seconds to a minute at idle for the turbo to spool down before switching off with a turbo-charged engine.
I think for your needs the Brio SMT option pack will make more sense than the Beat, since resale and maintenance are your priorities. The Brio being a Honda is almost maintenance free and if you are going for a petrol then why not go for a manufacturer that is best known for their petrol engines. That said the Beat is also a good car but you won’t…[Read more]
If fuel efficiency is your primary consideration, then look at the Brio MT over the Beat. It is slightly more powerful, but equally fuel efficient. You’ll get about 14 kmpl in the city.
Thanks Rishabh. I am also thinking to fit CNG kit in the car and considering the smaller luggage space of Brio, I was in a dual mind. Also, even in the top model, trunk glass has no wiper. Does that result in low visibility in extreme weathers? Fitting CNG in Brio makes sense?
Agree wid Mr.Rishab, Honda Brio is the safest option here & it can fulfill all ur demands…
Bhavesh the rear windshield of the Brio is virtually flat so no water will really stay on it, yes it would’ve been nice if you had the option of a rear wiper but for the most part you won’t need it. Do not switch to CNG the moment you buy it, drive it for at least 5,000 kms before you consider that move. And when you get a CNG kit opt for Lovato,…[Read more]
Honda Brio will be a better option and will surely fulfill all ur demands!!!
Thanks again Rishabh ![]()
Actually m also not in the favour of CNG kit. However, I live in Toronto and I want to buy this car to be used in India by my dad and he is a very fuel cost specific person (That whole generation thinks of fuel cost first). I know if I won’t fit a CNG, he will fit it when I fly back to Canada. lol
also some1 told me that I…[Read more]
Thanks Shenoy. I don’t know why but I have that personal likelyness towards Beat. However, Brio seems to be a practical option. Also, few of the things that lure me towards beat are:
1. its dashboard (Its my personal choice)
2. climate control options (but that is not a biggie since I live in Baroda and I trust Honda good enough in those…[Read more]
@bhavesh… i think you have made the right point…
Go with what your heart says..i also personally like the design and interior of the Beat with its dashboard design and big analog meter…
most of the showrooms have cars available for test drive…but dnt take risk..and if u are free then book a test drive online…
yeah…. n specially if u were a biker in your college days, Beat’s interior is hard to resist.
Im actually in my college days..and im a true bike lover too !!! @bhavesh
Then u knw wat I mean. ![]()
So wat do u personally suggest?
Beat? Or Brio?
Also will the small boot space allow me to fit a CNG cylinder? If yes, shall I wait to drive 5000 km before fitting cng? What difference will it make? Will it void car’s warranty if I fit the cng kit after say 1 year?
If u drive more than 1000kms/ month and need a diesel engine..go for beat tcdi
its the most fuel efficient hatchback in diesel…
Petrol beat will give around 13kmpl in city and brio may serve u with 14kmpl in city…
Both the cars have same boot space..so the boot will fully occupy the cng kit..
if possible u should fit the CNG kit only after ur…[Read more]
If u want to install CNG in the car, go for the car that comes with cng as a option otherwise the company gurantee will be over as u install CNG in the car as your running seems to be low go with petrol because cng will cost u around 40 to 60 thousand extra
Thx Shenoy and Rajat. Appreciate all the inputs. This site, forum and you ppl are very helpful.
A legat letter of sale on an affidavit, the delivery challan, a copy of your RC book, your insurance policy, Forms 29,30 and the ID, address and DL photocopies of the dealer/new customer.
Please get the bearing checked. Additionally check the front suspension.
Yeah it could be a faulty bearing .also check the strut bushes and brake calipers rubbing against the wheels.get it inspected asap.regards…
i think may be around 10-12 lakhs…as it has poor resale value….
u may get it around 10-12 lakhs as it has poor resale value
Rajat and everyone – Happy new year!
same to you….
Duster.. bcoz of new looks.. or u can go new safari storm.
Renault Duster. Old Safari…well….is just too old. The Duster is a much better car in terms of ride, handling and build quality.
DUSTER as it make more sensible handling , great space for a family of five and excellent millage Safari if need off-roading capabilities , having bigger family, need a vehicle for highway driving mainly
go for duster….
Safari is best if u want new one duster never stand in front of safari she is a girl and safari is prestige of a royal man so choice is ur be a boy or real royal man.
duster
go for duster. Safari is bigger than duster, but its too old now. Moreover, parts of old safari will get costlier day by day. On the other hand, duster is new, better than old safari. Though it seats 5, but its comfy. Looks are great and most important, new car is safest option. Mileage of duster is more than safari, and its got enough road…[Read more]
