buy Roots wind tone horn it sounds like Skoda and loud as well it is also RTA approved
A pair of Hella horns or Bosch would cost around Rs. 750 – Rs. 1250 depending on the model and the brand you choose. A whole range are available at most car accessories shops and would be a direct fit, with a relay.
MInd you, this will cost you your car’s warranty as well.
Hello @Ram
Do u changed the speakers of ur Amaze or u r satisfied with the sound quality?
Thanks Shreyans I’ll wait till the guarantee period. @ Sandeep I’m not happy about the speakers its only average. At this stage i do not want to change anything at present as it may cost my guaranty.

Not true in general. There may be some Honda cars with a good AC, but its not true for every car. I own a Honda Civic, and its AC really struggles in the Delhi heat.
Hi Jayesh, I just bought Honda Amaze 2 weeks back and travelled 800+ kms. When we were travelling 3 adults at about 40 deg C ambient the cabin was comfortable. No sunfilms are in place.
I am not buying this. Seems to be a dirty trick to push the higher margin top model. Take this up directly with Honda’s customer care. Their Chennai Zonal Office: 044 – 42083774 / 75 / 76 / 78. Their national “One-2-One” call center: 1800 113 121. Their email: customer_relations@hondacarindia.com.
Thanks @ Shreyans I’ll contact them
I don’t think registration is dependent on the variant, if the length, engine size and power and fuel used are the same. If they can register the VX variant, they can register lower variants as well. I think the RTO is just trying to be difficult. Check with the RTO itself if its possible.
Simply tell the dealer that he should point it out on a public noticeboard in his dealership, that they will not take bookings of the lower variant since they can’t register them in the RTO. It will call their bluff either ways: whether they are pushing the top-end variant or they are unable to apply pressure on the RTO to get the approval. Let me…[Read more]
Thanks @Shreyans. I just emailed Honda customer care and within 1 hour my dealer called me and informed RTO has approved the variants and vehicle will be registered on Monday. Thanks for the info.
Thanx Ram. AC is very chilling on No. 2 blower & cooling is enough for rear seat too. As i normally drive & keep the blower on no. 1 but still very much comfortable, max. temp. these days in my area is 37 Degree. I parked my car in Direct sunlight 3 days ago & it takes 2-3 minutes to cool down the cabin on full blower speed.
Try to put some pressure on ur dealer if u want quick delivery. Which i did & became the first one to own Amaze in my City.
Tip for u – Tell ur dealer now that u want delivery of ur vehicle without any coating & lamination or anything else. Tell them u want vehicle as it is came from Factory. And after deliver u can chose whatever u want from ur…[Read more]
Thanks for the info and the tips.
CarToq community member @sandeep mangat has got an Amaze and he’ll be able to give you first hand feedback on daily use of the AC. During our test in Goa in 32 degree heat it worked pretty well, no issues there.

AC is wonderful… cool down the cabin pretty fast…. No complaints whatsoever……
Hi Ram, Let me tackle each question one after the other:
1. Underbody protection – it only has painting, not a thick coat. Even for padding, the diesel has thicker padding under the bonnet, behind the engine, but petrol has only little padding.
2. Driver info system is same as the Brio – Single trip meter, average fuel economy, odometer (and…[Read more]
If it is so.. then other diesel cars in the segment will bite the dust!!!
I dont agree with you Shenoy. Mileage is not the only criteria while buying a car. Mileage is one of the things a customer looks for. Much more than that comfort ,space , maintenance are also taken in to consideration. More over Amaze is the first diesel car from Honda who know how it is going to perform. Man cars have come in to the market…[Read more]
That was just a record set by Ford for the Classic to enter into the Limca book of records…32 kmpl..
In real world conditions it gives over 20kmpl..
And Amaze has good space and comfort and some decent features all together with good looks which makes it a better buy than the Dzire anyday..
Also Honda has good Quality interiors and overall build…[Read more]
sail diesel is the best it a lot of space ride is good
Sail is better in case of lower variants because (1) it is far more spacious than DZire and (2) it comes loaded with basic safety feature in lower variants. DZire feels premium and comes loaded in the ZDi variant but it has got lesser legroom and lesser boot space as compare to Sail sedan.
http://www.cartoq.com/chevrolet-sail-compared-against-all-entry-sedans/ – The Sail is the most practical buy in that bracket currently. It has space, good driveability, features like bluetooth, maintenance package from GM etc. It should fit the best for someone who wants a family car which can give good fuel efficiency, have features, space,…[Read more]
I was considering Dzire, Sail & Amaze prior to launching of Sail. But now I am considering Sail or Amaze. Sail is a good family car. If the requirement is urgent go for Sail otherwise wait for about 2 weeks to know about Amaze and decide. regards.
If you are looking at a proper sedan, take the sail sedan.the car has the same 1.3 motor with a chevy badge and got better warranty of 5 yrs or 1.5lkh kms.plus the 3yr maintenance contract makes it very sensible buy at the moment.the dzire is a bit cramped on the rear legroom and the chopped up boot does the job but looks a bitsore considering the…[Read more]
Yes.. i also feel that Sail is a better choice overall…
Better interior cabin space,,better comfort for 5,,better boot space..and looks like a proper sedan….
and the Chevy promise will serve u happy for years…
if u are ready to wait..then the Honda Amaze is coming in just 2 weeks…its worth waiting for the competition against…[Read more]
I would also say, just wait till the Honda Amaze launches on April 11 (once we know prices, its value for money factor would be clearer) and then decide. It’s definitely better than the Dzire in some aspects and looks promising. As for the Sail, if you aren’t amazed by the Amaze, it’s a default choice – straightforward practical car.
Yes Ram, on April 1 I will be able to give you a detailed road test report of the diesel and petrol, and a video review. For prices, we’ll have to wait till April 11, and I’m hoping Honda has listened to our feedback and prices it just right. If it does, it will have a winner on its hands.
Thank you. If the prices are just right I’ll also a proud owner of Honda Amaze. If not I’ll go for Sail sedan
sail
Wait for Honda Amaze…it will definitely prove itself better than other entry level sedans
