why not i20 magna (o) or sportz Crdi. you get more power. features and comfort. If you are going for 1.3 punto then it is better u go for i20 and if punto 90hp then go with it. no better hatch then punto 90HP only. think again!!

Which one should I buy: Fiat Punto or Chevrolet Sail (Both base diesel)? I am very confused, secondly Fiat car dealers are offering me a Rs.40,ooo discount & insurance free on the 2012 year make Punto and nothing on the 2013 make models. Please advise and clarify the confusion!

Between the two, I would advice going for the Punto – and the discount is a bonus. It will be more reliable in the long run, although the U-Va is too new to comment on longevity, and GM backs it up with a 3 year maintenance package.

Considering just the base models, my pick would be the Sail. It has more space and better ride quality. Engine tuning is also better on the Sail, which reflecting in the drivability and fuel economy. I dont think longevity should be an issue considering the best in class warranty packages. And then, proper service and support is assured, which is…[Read more]

As a product, the Sail is better. Much more space, plusher ride quality and a better tuned engine, all backed by best in class warranty and fairly priced maintenance packages. No uncertainty over maintenance and support, which is Fiat’s biggest failing at the moment after its divorce from Tata. Neither car has the excellent interior or plastic…[Read more]

For a 6L budget, take the Beat LT (O) rather than both these options. You will get much better features in the top end variant, apart from the ABS & airbags which are life saving passive safety features. It will be a better choice than the base variant Punto or mid variant Figo. The Beat also has a 3 year maintenance package and is the most fuel…[Read more]

As ur Budget is around 6 lacs if u can extend it a bit u will get the Titanium version of Figo. That will be the best option with the given price line.Consider beat but always bear in mind the Chevy make and the resale value. Not taking any credit away from them but reminding u of their image in the Indian market..

Here is whatever information I have till now, including the factory visit. Fiat is very serious about its customers and products. They have given Free of Cost replacements and upgrades to all vehicles based on customer feedback. This year their prime focus is going to be the exclusive dealer network. So the Punto and Linea may get a facelift,…[Read more]

For a 2012 Dynamic (diesel), its a steal considering its OTR price is over 7L with discounts. The car has barely had any usage with just 12k, the manual comes with regular service till 180k. Check two of the most important things – It is a 2012 Dynamic (manufacture month from VIN and not from registration date on RC), which is equivalent to the…[Read more]

Under the passenger seat, there is a decent sized C cut which can be lifted to see the VIN. If the last two alphabets are LZ, its a 2012 make. If the last two alphabets are MZ, its a 2011 make. Also improved suspension height is noticeable for people who know, the GC has increased to 185mm. But it can be also achieved with the GC kit. Hence VIN…[Read more]

Hi, its the best choice in my opinion, I own a 90 HP MJD which also was bought after months of research. If you have any queries I would be happy to help. Few days back they have opened a…[Read more]

Personally,Minor problems of spares-service aren’t enough reason to leave this Italian beauty. The car is solid build and also 1.3 90hp MJD is simply superb. Intial accelerations lacks because of its weight and solid build quality.Once Turbo kicks in,its terribly awesome:-)

in a 5-6 lac budget, its criminal to think about a car other than Figo or Beat. Beat is the pick here because of those looks, higher stance, and the engine has lower Noise and Vibration at idle. Also the 3 year Chevy promise is a tempting option. you can get the top model with options for about 10000 more than your budget, but its worth it.

You will get the mid variant of Sail UVA diesel which has got ABS as safety feature in your budget whereas you will get top variant of Figo which has all the essential eqipment including more safety features. Just go for Figo Titanium, its a great VFM and fun to drive car. You will also get a lot of space inside and ample boot.

Fiat punto d is the best of the lot overall but it has more niggling issues and parts are not easily available and hence slightly difficult to maintain than the Figo d. Figo diesel delivers 80 per cent of punto with better space management and easier to drive in city in 60-70k cheaper.
