Dzire VDi, a sedan with very nice mileage figures. A long range of hatchbacks is available with good FE.
1. Ritz, 2. Micra, 3. Etios Liva, 4. Swift, 5. Ford Classic, 6. Sail UVA
1.polo 2.punto 3.swift 4.liva 5.figo 6.ritz
Sx4 Vdi, Etios Gd.
You’l get best mileage in the Dzire.
agree with Sachin Dev
Mahindra quanto is a good option too
10-12kmpl in city and 11-13kmpl on highway. It can vary upto 14-15kmpl also.
12-14 i city and 17-19 on highway
get test ride of both, if u can adjust with eon gear lever and steering then go for eon, otherwise alto will be good
YA BETTER 2 TEST DRIVE BOTH ON EMPTY ROADS,AND DECIDE THE PERFORMANCE
Alto 800 is new but as the name nothing feels new and fine. Eon on the other side is stuffed with good and properly placed features. Styling is unmatched when its about Eon. With Alto 800 Maruti has done a really good job but not up to the levels of today’s market.
Dear Kunal dont you feel that gear lever of eon vibrate too much can cause permanent disability of left hand and also power steering is not better than alto 800, although price also matter
eon
i was very much in favour of buying the Eon, but it looks like ill be saving a little money if I go for the Alto 800… Moreover, Eon doesn’t have the blushing red colour, which is the only colour I want my car to be in.. Im not too happy about going for an Alto, but looks like it’l have to do for now…
VERNA FIGHTER JET
Vento with the upgraded kit is lot better. As the old highline trim missed bunch of important features VW has added some basic and impressive equipment to make it a much better place and on the road Vento is way ahead of Verna with its powerful engine and great suspension setup.
verna for performance and vento for stability and confident driving
its swift
deal is good… as that model comes with 1.3l engine the mileage is bit low.. around 12 km in city and 14 on highways
you paid 40-50 K bucks extra dude..
for long drives go for Enfield Bullet. Other bikes become uncomfortable after an hour of riding.
Try Honda Unicorn. It has good mileage, comfort, great handling and very good arm support(Good for long rides).
Your favorite is no doubt the best available in the segment. Nothing like Unicorn but styling could be an issue as it lacks a bit.
for long drives go for bajaj avenger or royal enfield.. but in 150cc segmnt buy unicorn..
for 150 cc unicorn is better if you are not bothered about looks that other 150 cc bikes offer
If you drive on good roads and don’t have more than 4 passengers most of the time, stick to the Elantra. Better dynamics, better power-to-weight ration, better accelaration and equivalent or better features. Add to it, more fuel economy under real-world conditions. Why buy 2 tonnes of metal when 1.4 tonnes of metal will do the job comfortably?
sir will genraly travel with 5 persons and i hd hard tht its best for 4 seats only nt 5
5 persons is not comfortable in any sedan over long distances. Short city runs are fine. In fact, most expensive sedans are WORSE at accommodating 5 people than cheaper ones like the Manza and the Etios and the Verito!
sir may daily consum is 60 km with 3 prson only and weeknd 250 km (in 2 dys with 5 person)
if ur usage is only on paved roads and u care for economical usage then go for elantra.. else xuv500
sachin thr is nt much more diff. bwten avg elntra gvs 13and 17 city and highway and xuv gives 12.5 and 15 respectively and sir yestrday i had test drive for elentra the problem with elentra is tht the 5 th person cnt seat comfortably the middle portion is slightly higher and it also swiz in leg room for middle person..
Question to the editor. Do u really think Swift is a Driver’s car(driver’s favorite)??? What about Punto??? Figo???
Question to the editor. Do u really think Swift is a Driver’s car(driver’s favorite) in the segment??? What about Punto??? Figo???
Author looks to be more biased towards Swift without looking at parameters to compare so at the end he says it may sway a few buyers from other brands.Sail is 86bhp not 85 bhp correct it..Also it has better mid range punch and low end torque which favours Indian traffic.Looks is not good from back side although..Swift looks much better than sail…[Read more]
THE AUTHOR IS NOT BIASED,HE IS EXPLAINING THE FACT,AS FOR AS FEATURES AND WARRSANTY IS CONCERNED,SAIL IS BEST IN TERMS OF DRIVING PERFORMANCE,YET 2 BE JUDGED,@revanth WHEN COMPARED 2 FIGO AND PUNTO,THE ACCELERATION OF 0-100 OF SWIFT IS 25% BETTER,AND CORNERING AT HIGH SPEEDS IS QUITE COMMENDABLE,SO THE ACCELERATION AND CORNERING,AT HIGH SPEEDS OF…[Read more]
@Ganesh Prasad, Fluidic Verna has got the highest Bhp and shortest 0-100km/hr accelerations but still is not considered as a Drivers Car where as Fiesta and Linea are consider as a Drivers car even though they have got lesser power and 0-100 timing. Cars with good dynamics that will keep it planted to ground, good suspensions and steering feedback…[Read more]
I have still not got my hands on Sail but from the reviews from the car magazines, got to know that it’s not fun to drive instead easy to drive in city and also has got good ride quality.
main thing for drivers car is ,the body roll should be minimum, especially cornering highspeeds, and i hope this doesnt happens on figo, also figo”s suspension failure, becoz of which more than 5000 were called back 2 repair, and for ur kind information, swift suspension is rbs,RALLY BASED SUSPENSION,AND THIS TYPE U CAN ONLY EXPERIENCE in MITSUBISHI…[Read more]
Punto and Figo have much lesser body roll than Swift and higher cornering speed. The chassis of figo is that of 5th generation Fiesta sold in foreign markets and best know for they stability, ride quality and handling characteristics. The 5th generation Fiesta hatchbacks is sold in India as Figo with different engine options. They were more…[Read more]
@revanth U CAN ALSO COMPARE POWER TO WEIGHT RATIO,OF THAT FIGO LAGS BEHIND ALL HATCHES,IN MY DRIVING EXPERIENCE FIGO IS 2 LAZY,AND ITS SUSPENSION ON POT HOLES,AND RUGGED ROADS DEFINATELY FAILS,FIESTA IS A DIFFERENT BENCH MARK,I AGREE WITH THE STABILITY,AT THE SAME TIME DURING LONG RUN 1 EXPECTS GOOD ACCELERATION,THAT IS ABUNDANT IN SWIFT WHEN…[Read more]
@ganesh… dude how can u compare swift with PUNTO ha..? jus check out the build quality of punto. whatever the case punto sticks on to gound and driver feels more confident in punto at top speeds than swift and accleration is good during long run. swift is getting sold in huge numbers jus coz f brand and service network bt it should not be an…[Read more]
@sachin dev u go 2 my picture album of fb,WHEREIN U SHL FIND PHOTOS OF SWIFT OVERTAKING OTHER BRANDS LIKE JAZZ,POLO,LIVA,FIGO ETC ALSO THE SWIFTS TOP SPEED ON HIGHWAY BEING REACHED TO 170KMPH
@Ganesh Prasad, If you really feel good driving Swift at hifg speeds, then if you have driven Figo and Punto at the same speeds, you will denifitely love these cars more than Swift if your thinking is not biased.
@revanth U AR TOTALY MISTAKEN,FIGO DOESNT CROSS THE 142KM BARRIER MARK,DESPITE MYSELF PRESSING THE THROTTLE FOR 94 SECS IT COULDNT SUCCED.AND PUNTO
PUNTOS TOP SPEED IS JUST 150 KMS,BUT AFTER PRESSING THE THROTLE FOR 75 SECS IT TOUCHES 155,BUT SWIFT AFTER TOUCHING 140,IF THE THROTLE IS PRESSED FOR 20SECS IT CROSSES 165 AND TOUCHES 170,AND MIND IT IT IS NOT SPEEDO ERROR,MEASURED BYGPS
Yesterday test driven Diesel version. Looks stuning as there are no funny curve like Swift, i20, Figo. Its look very mature and very specious. But not very responsive upto 2nd gear like my existing car Alto K10 (Petrol). Otherwise power catch up very leaner when touch 3rd gear on ward. And after 100 it feels like it starting the rev now. Break is…[Read more]
Ford Figo and just launched base version of Sail UVa is the best practical car in this segment……. Punto is soild and gr8 car to drive build but too expensive as its a generation old.. europe got new punto some 3.5 years ago… Swift is no doubt a driver’s car plus it has a gr8 resale value… but if you are a family person looking for…[Read more]
There is no way that a diesel punto/figo can overtake a swift on the high way!
Petrol, speaking from the head but I still prefer a diesel for its low end grunt, tougher construction and that sound.
I agree with Devdath, Stick to diesel, 85 PS model, It makes perfect sense, very good in city traffic.
With 700Kms a month, petrol would be a wiser decision but I too would opt for the diesel instead. Choose the 85PS if you drive in the city most of the times and the 110PS for frequent highway runs.
Dude go for diesel… when u have a diesel car ur monthly usage wil automaticaly increase…
Thats true
Dude, This is sold as Verna in India similarly Maruti A-Star (in India) is sold as Suzuki Alto in many other countries.
wat a duffer…! havent u seen any verna on Indian roads ha..? its verna in India…
