Why are you going for the Xenon? Mostly for style I guess
Anyway its a good truck for that, I don’t think Mahindra Getaway, the only alternative, comes anywhere close to this!!
Get a GETAWAY
. TATA has introduced a pick up truck with the xenon face just now.u dont want to break your heart seeing a grocery pick up as same as your car if you are considering the xenon for its styling
.the getaway is a better scorpio.but mind you both these cars have tailspin because of the extended length at the back.If you can get…[Read more]
Why do you need a pick up? Is it only for the style quotient and exclusivity? Also the Xenon 4×4 – may be good for deserts, snow etc, but for hard core off-roading, the long wheelbase of the Xenon is a downer – it’s breakover angle is not good and it can get beached.
oh but i seriously need a pickup ya bcuz its blingzz and coz I normally doo party weekends in which EECO isn’t really a good wagon or a van i would like to sell it and get xenon which is pretty stylish but i want to know if its good with mud and gravel terrains.
Can you wait for the Nissan’s new 2 and 4 cabin pick ups, it cost the same range as the Xenon and the Getaway…
not a quanto Vishwa ! punto, swift are better options from your list.
Your question itself is the answer to ur question. Punto ticks in all the departments u need, its a perfect car with all the blend of safety, comfort & very good handling. Apart from ur listed vehicles Maruti Ertiga(MUV) & Renault Duster (SUV) base diesel model is in ur budget which is almost none when it comes to safety. Punto is most stylish &…[Read more]
Punto could suit you the best. It’s got the best handling and ride quality in its segment. Though the rear seats may feel a bit cramped, it’s just fun to drive with the 90Hp motor. You can consider the Renault Duster(85) as well.Comfortable for 5 and good driving dynamics, which makes it feel more car like. It may make you stretch your a budget a…[Read more]
The Quanto isn’t all that great a vehicle, especially for you coming from a sedan in the US. From the 3 options you’ve mentioned, the Punto fits your bill best. But if you’re open to widening your net, then I would suggest you consider the Honda Jazz. And if you feel inclined towards and SUV, then you can consider the lower versions of either the…[Read more]
Since you have stayed & used vehicles in the US, using a SUV or MUV in Pune will be very irritating (due to traffic) as your options have a manual or stick shift (whereas most vehicles in the US have automatic transmissions). Secondly the traffic in Pune is nothing to write about & having a hatch makes a lot more sense than a bigger vehicle…[Read more]
Well everyone have made all the important points, so I won’t repeat them
Check out the Honda Brio AT, will be excellent in traffic, and you may already be used to ATs in US. If you want to go manual, then consider Jazz too, along with Swift and Punto. A bit more spacious than the Swift which might make you feel too cramped after large cars in US.
Thanks a lot for your prompt suggestions. Most of my colleagues suggested a Diesel vehicle and considering all of your suggestions, i am inclining towards Punto 90 HP (Note; i am already acquainted to manual transmission). Are there any better alternatives to Punto?
Another alternative would be the I20 Asta, which has a laundry list of features and not a long waiting period as compared to the Swift. Its suspension setup is very soft which translates to a lot of body roll as speeds climb, but that is not a problem for sedate drivers. The Figo is a very VFM alternative which will save a noticeable amount of…[Read more]
Thanks Amit. No doubt I20 is a feature rich car but i didnt get feel that i need to buy. Figo has ground clearence issues and especially roads at Hinjewadi so bad and speed breakers are at high level. Thats the reason Figo is out of my list and however will watch for new Figo. How the Punto maintenance in the long run. Are there any noticeable…[Read more]
Since mine is a slightly older car, some niggles like glove box alignment (for which I have found the solution the last time I had gone for a Fiat meet), wiper washer pipe slipping randomly, low GC (though low GC is what I prefer being an enthusiast and am at peace since the engine guard of Fiat is pretty strong). Most of these things should be…[Read more]
Honda Jazz
No Fluence in your list??
no i dont like renualt
i would go with the cruze from your budget list…
Elantra & Cruze. Differentiate these two itself. If u want Raw power & performance car then Cruze tops the list. If u need comfortable, full of features & fuel efficient car then Elantra is best.
The Elantra’s the new kid on the block- fully loaded and a great overall package. It would be the logical choice. If you want a more classic design and solid build quality, then the Jetta’s and equally good alternative. Instead of the Innova, among the MUV/SUVs, you can look at the XUV500 and the Skoda Yeti as well.
right sandeep… but which one u think is worth and value for money???
Value for Money would be the Elantra.
thnxx ketkar…. which car do u suggest???
Among the sedans, Elantra or Jetta, depending on your preference.
mahindra xuv500 in suv but yu miss that ,in the seden cruze have a sporty look and the value for money elantra but hyundai doesn`t offers handling with it and the germany maker is the class in features, handling, design, performance its the choice from your budget ..
xuv 500 have looks but is having cheap platics in interior and isnt a durable car….no doubt it has best looks….
should prefer for jetta or elantra…
thanxxx guys for ur views
Sharanjeet i suggest Cruze LTZ which will be in ur budget. Feel of luxury is enough & features are also just below the elantra in Cruze. Where the real difference between those two cars is accelerator paddle. Push the paddle n cruze is really a rocket. Price is same close to 15 lakhs for both Elantra SX & Cruze LTZ
Do check out the Skoda Yeti. There are some excellent discounts being offered on the Yeti. The build quality both inside and outside is outstanding with a long list of features. It rides well in the city with minimal turbo-lag and is a great highway cruiser. The 4×2 Active and Ambition should be available in your budget.
CRUZE IS THE BEST CHOICE,DO NOT GO FOR RENAULT CARS IN INDIA SINCE THEY ARE HEAVILY UNDER POWERED
innova or jetta …………….
Yes, the car is fine now. MNM has been working on this for long.
no cars come 100 % free of any defect.. becuase what they say is perfect could be a fault at the users end..
No there is no V2 planned for the XUV500. M&M have been consistently upgrading it as and when problems have cropped up. Updates have kept happening to the underproduction vehicles and those have also been available to all XUVs as retrofits. As it stands today, the XUV is a pretty sorted out vehicle.
Sorry, you may misunderstood me. They have been working on the same model to make it more better. There are no new versions coming.
define low profile, do you have alloys ! or is it on the existing rims ?
ABS stands for anti lock brakes and in an ABS equipped car, the wheels do not lock upon hard braking so the car does not skid uncontrollably and you have steering control even under hard braking. In today’s day and age it is a must have on a new car. You can look up the price difference in our Instant Price Finder App on the left hand side of the page.
Recomendation in the industry is that if a EBS and ABS are done externally, it may not get too compatible with the vehicle, its recomended to pick the car up which has an EBS/ABS instaled at Factory on default….
wait for the ecosport, you can anyways buy a duster later if you see the ecosport is not what your desired thru a test drive. but if you buy the duster and then feel the ecosoport was better, you woould regret to have not waited another 6-7 months….
Better to wait. What they have said is that both petrol and diesel will be launched together. But no certainty on that.
U can also consider Duster. Test drive both the cars, go for the 1 u r most comfortable with.
you should wait for the new safari storme which will be more advanced and updated but it’ll be with a heavier price tag….n safari has always been a very comfortable car……u can also try out few of the mahindra SUVs
Adesh, Duster is a better bet than safari !! Yes, its not as powerful as the Safari, however, built quality and VFM , this rocks !!
tata safari is better ..to all suv..
the storme is nothing great, only cosmetic changes, as aman says, no SUV currerntly on road can beat the safari.. go for it, go for the Beast.. and dust the roads
In terms of space and comfort, the Safari is better than an Innova, not to mention that it maintains its ride quality even on really bad roads. Only the Innova last row is slightly better than the Safari. But essentially last row of almost every vehicle in this segment except Xylo is bad.
Toyota Innova is the car that suits ur requirements, the best. Though the engine is not that powerful, still is the most reliable car. Handling is very good and very very comfortable for all the passengers. U hardly any strain in the long distance drive in this car. It’s also got best resale value thereby innova is value for money. Safari looks…[Read more]
Comfort and value for money, always Innova. One of the most comfortable car ever. For long drives and comfort look no further than innova. Reliability is top notch as always with Toyota products. You can say Innova is more comfortable than fortuner as well, as even a Toyota dealer told me that some people have cancelled their Fortuner bookings and…[Read more]
Agree with Gaganpreet Singh. Innova is more comfortable than a fortuner. Reason is bcos the the floor of frotuner is high rised which tends to keep ur legs a little high, lacking under-thigh support. The look of innova may make u feel that it can handle rough roads, but trust me, we had been to ladakh by two car. Innova and safari, and Innova was…[Read more]
Just two points from my side: while the Innova is very comfortable but the Safari is almost there. And as soon as the roads go bad, the Safari can maintain speed and comfort over bad stretches. As far as getting stuck is concerned, a Safari (unless it is a 4X4, which is less than 1% of Safaris sold) is the same rear wheel drive configuration as…[Read more]
one word .TATA SAFARI
16.205 kmpl, for a SUV with 4 adults, two kids and an infant with an equal amount of luggage weight.. Bangalore to Cochin (via Coimbatore, Palakad, Shoranur, Thrissur) in 10.27 hours flat…. Thats the Safari, If the innova beats this take it…. i still have the records and pics of the travelogue for anyone who wants to calcuate the…[Read more]
