if you did any modifications like bull bar or some extra fitting then okay or else just stick with old figs. ….on braking you could loose some air pressure and on off roads too …. extra 2 to 3 psi won’t harm your tires even on un metalled roads (it could be this reason )…. i own ritz zxi … the manual prescribes 33 psi but i fill 35 psi in…[Read more]

Service staff have a reputation for passing off all kinds of bull shit to unsuspecting customers. Always go by what is written in the manual or the sticker on the door sill and not by what these people have to say. If the manual says 33psi for all 4 tires, then it is 33psi for all 4 tires. But make sure that it is 33psi on cold tires. Tires warm…[Read more]

Chevrolet Sail compared against all entry-sedans

The Chevrolet Sail sedan offers surprisingly good value for money at the price point that it has been launched at. It is directly priced against the Maruti Dzire, which is the current sales leader in the entry sedan segment, and the Sail is also highly competitive against other entry sedans such as the Toyota Etios, Tata Manza, Ford Classic and Mahindra Veri

        1. Sail is priced the same as the Dzire, despite the excise benefit to the latter. Shows you much much money Maruti is minting, especially considering its economy of scale. 2.The interior quality on the current Manza is far batter than the Sail’s. In fact, its a contender for best in class. 3. Etios comes across as overpriced but its petrol engine…[Read more]

Sail is a replacement for the AVEO sedan and its interior fitt is better than the AVEO but finish on the AVEO was a lot better. the styling of the SAIL is very conservative compared to dezires modern styling

i still dnt understand how GM did it suppose i go to a chevy showroom and have a look at beat, then the salesman tells me if u wanna upgrade have a look at sail and after having a look at the inside ill say “Man!!! how is this an upgrade, the beat had climate control which is a car from a lower a segment??”

Seriously, if any manufacturer is not taking indian customer or indian market sensibilities seriously… they dont deserve sales here. What worked in China, Europe may not work here. Rethink a car for India and give nothing less than best shot.. then hope for somebody to spend money on your model

Good question! The funny part is our rules state that a PUC is mandatory. But so far there’s no provision for electric vehicles. It will be fun to see a traffic cop stop an E20 and ask the owner to produce a pollution certificate! :-)

Ritz AT has been launched now (as per maruti suzuki’s website); this should compete well with both the i10 AT and the Brio AT: similar pricing, but better space overall. Better mileage too? Only time will tell.

Agree with Revanth. Brio E MT will come in your budget (maybe go up by 20k or 30k) in some cities.. But qualitywise, this is the best car you can get in that price. If you want to save a bit more, then alto K10, Eon, wagonR etc make sense.

Of these, we’ve only done a full-fledged review of the Duster, and Amit had driven the Storme briefly. The Quanto and the Premier Rio actually go head to head – similar price and size. Between these two, the Quanto is better as it has slightly more space and a much more powerful engine. (Although, the jump seats in the Quanto are of no use really…[Read more]

I have driven the Rio and even tried it on a uneven road the suspension soaks up most of the jolts as it irons out the shocks on rough and uneven surfaces.Plus gives me the option to add luggage as i want.

The Duster is most certainly a good option. Mahindra should have added more thought to the Quanto – See the last 2 seats added do not add any value, Also the back seat is like a bench which cannot be used as anything else, Comparatively i like the Rio as it has the flexibility in the back seats and also works well when looking at driving through…[Read more]
