Wow Sarthak, that’s nice to hear that you’ve found a good Jeep. Try and restore it first to it’s original condition. Has the 4×4 transfer case been removed also? If so, buy one and reinstall it. You’ve said the differential is still there. A Jeep without 4×4 is not a true Jeep, so get this done as soon as possible. When you say 4-speed gearbox -…[Read more]

But then I am considering whether I will really need a 4X4, because the mDI engine is powerful and torquey enough to pull the beast in most conditions barring mud. Please suggest if I should upsize to 190/60 R15 Yokohamas or should stick to same size bridgestone, michellin etc. I wont spend more than 5k for a tyre. You can upgrade the tyre size, go for yokohama, its a good brand. This tyre size would cost around 4500 rs. Bridgestones might be cheaper by 100 to 200 rs.

One tyre which is known to have great ride quality and comfort is Continental. Try and see if those are available. Otherwise there are the usual suspects in this price range: Yokohama A-drives, Michelin XM1+ / XM2 and Bridgestone Turanza, apart from others.

In the case of the XUV, I think what they did right was they managed to get the initial perception of the car spot on- as a VFM car : fully loaded for a great price. And this is where the Aria went horribly wrong. The initial perception that stuck to it was an oversized, overpriced car. And no amount of price cuts later helped it’s case. M&M have…[Read more]

One simple way to look at it is, if you drive more than 1000 km a month, you will save money with a diesel car. If you are thinking of the petrol Duster, then it won’t be as fuel efficient or comfortable as a sedan – but you will have a comfortable SUV.

Renault Fluence E4D (Very comfortable, quality good, looks brand new, head turner for sure, feels sturdy, but VW Jetta scores way too high here, Stuffed with Gizmos lacking in any other car in the segment, Maintenance costs unknown, POOR RESALE THREAT!!)

Corolla Altis D4D GL (under-equipped, comfortable best for 2 at back, door and c pillar protrusions make seating a bit uncomfortable for 3,. no rear ac vent at this price, BEST in CLASS RESALE VALUE, TOYOTA [HASSLE FREE OWNERSHIP EXPERIENCE] )… PLEASE HELP ME CHOOSE BETWEEN THESE 3..

The Fluence makes perfect sense if your aren’t too scared about its resale value. The Superb is still a car I personally prefer!
