Alto K10 is has a very advanced engine.When I went for the test drive for the EON, I found that even in Neutral, the gear lever vibrates in the EON.. As compared anytime with the NEW ALTO K10, EON is no where near to it in terms of COMPARISON.

The Eon gear lever vibrates, definitely. Eon really does not compare with the K10 in terms of performance, too. It is meant to be a slightly better option than the regular Alto, or probably to wagonR too.

Between Eon and Alto K10, the K10 is better on most counts, except for space. Engine & performance, definitely the K10.

Please do not compare 2 different segment car only for their price nearer. Eon is a fully entry level 800cc old engine and gear box can compare to Maruti 800 and Nano. The K Series Engine is very different than the normal Engine of the EON. The K series engine has an Alumium case. which cools down 2x faster than the heating time. santro is a better product compare to alto k10.or else if u want a new better product go for Eon or I 10.
Alto K10 has cramped interior space but otherwise it is a great city car with consistent fuel economy, low maintenance costs and maruti’s wide service network is a boon. If you are above average height, you may find Alto K10 lacking space. In that case, you can choose the Santro.
I agree with Hrishi here. If you find the Alto too small for your liking, look at the Eon. The Santro doesn’t cut it, at this day and age.
Since you mentioned Alto K10, you’re obviously looking for a bit of power as well. In that case, consider the i10 instead of the Santro or Eon, as it offers better power (the 1.1 litre engine is shared with the Santro while the 1.2 litre is shared with the i20). The Santro is rather dated now.

compare to maruti it might be possible that hyundai spare parts are expensive but not much difference is there and life of parts is also long of hyundai .so dnt worry.
Alto K10 has a far more advanced technological engine.
The Alto K10 has a more powerful, free-revving, refined and best of all, longer lasting engine compared to santro. The santro, on the other hand, offers better interior space, higher quality plastics, and upright seating position (ideal for elderly people). The maintenance costs and resale value are comparable for both.
Buy Alto K10 for its engine alone. Its really worth the entire money u spend on it.
