Mileage will be more or less the same..
I find i20 easy to drive in city traffic..
All these car have different strengths so it depend on u what u want. like if space and comfort is ur top priority then go for sail, If you want drivers car then go for i20, Desire for good to drive, fuel efficient and resell
Most VFM car is Figo
all the cars have their own good and bad points…what are ur requirements
Alto K10, perhaps. I don’t think any other hatchback or any sedan makes the cut. This is something restricted to truck based old school SUVs like Bolero, Scorpio, Safari, Fortuner and like.
Yes, there is hardly any hatchback with visible bonnet from driver’s side now-a-days.
I also feel the same..
There is rarely any hatchback with visible bonnet from the driver’s side
Omni has no bonnet at all.
XUV 500 (Five o.o) is named ending an O because Mahindra feels its lucky to end all the cars with the Initial “O”
As seen,, Almost all of the Mahindra cars have cars ending with the name “O”..
Scorpio, Bolero, Verito, Quanto, Xylo, E2O, XUV 5OO except the THAR
This means that now u have a family of 5 people..
So why squeeze them in a Sedan???
Go for a MPV..
And at a budget of 15lac.. go with the Innova..
Will be one of the best choices
It should be a MPV then. Options, I think its the Ertiga or the Innova but I’d go for the Innova. Though a sedan isn’t an issue too but when your whole family is outing then the rear 3 passenger aren’t going to be happy throughout the journey.
5 People, Long distance, Good comfort – there isnt any other choice than Innova to beat here.
well three grown up kids and parents, with that high budget, the only thing which clicks in my mind is the yetti !!! of course you can get a 7 or 8 seater innova too, but just decide yourself, what you want, the posh pride and joy ride …. or big commuter vehicle for use when family grows (hardly we make 7 seated trips isn’t it)…… if you want…[Read more]
I would choose Scorpio for your requirements. Enough space for family, top end variant with 4×4 comes within budget, lot more extra luggage can be carried if you put a luggage carrier on top, better road presence than that of Ertiga / Innova. Better ground clearance & 4×4 capability will ensure that even if vehicle has full payload (passengers +…[Read more]
Trouble free and popular-Innova,Steal of a deal-Aria(for the discounts on offer),can stretch a lakh-Xuv500,Strict for 5 and SUV-ish-Duster,Rugged and Mean-Scorpio,Safari Storme.Look at all these options in person and take a TD.the scorpio is getting an update soon so better to wait a bit if buying one.the innova and duster is the most most…[Read more]
I would suggest innova and xuv500. But an suv is always better even for city drive coz of the indian road conditions.
Best vehicle for 5: Safari Storme. If I were you, I would buy the Storme 4×4. A modern, updated SUV with plenty of power, space, commanding road presence and unmatched comfort. Immensely capable both on and off the road.
If u have a limited budget, then go with Ertiga..
Else Innova for everything
TOYOTA INNOVA SUITS U BEST.
As a prospective Innova buyer, you are willing to spend in tune of 10-12L. So, I will direct you towards the Safari Storme, which is the most spacious and comfortable vehicle around to seat 5. It will be a genuine upgrade over the Swift.
U can install rear power windows for ur Santro Xing either from the Hyundai Showroom or from any aftermarket store…
There’s this company ‘Spark Minda’. You can contact them, they are specialized for this too and also are Hyundai officially uses their products and its obvious Hyundai will charge more for the same. But I think getting it fitted solely by Hyundai would be better for you cause I don’t think for this they will be using SMinda’s help.
but i had heard that after some time .i will give problem….
Go for xenos or autocop brand.they have warranty too and is reliable(relatives fitted in swift/alto).Regards…
Would 6Lcs buy Storme? and how about the maintenance cost for driving 24000kms any ideas?
Shenoy if eco sport is not an option then? what would u suggest?
Thanks appreciate it.
I would suggest a used Scorpio VLX – easily available in white I’m sure. EcoSport being a 4-seater and much, much smaller won’t serve your purpose of road presence as such. Tata Safari Dicor too would be available, but I would rate M&M service and overall longevity slightly higher than Tata at the moment. And if its a vehicle that’s outside…[Read more]
Personal choice still remains tata safari dicor 2.2 VTT(within warranty which can be extended) because of its road presence, comfort, handling, potholes gulping ability, budget. Guess now the question has evolved to this–> 1. checklist before buying the Tata Safari, 2. Maintenance guide 3. Maintenance & Service cost involved per year. 4.…[Read more]
TATA Safari King Of The Road
scorpio.. it suits u the best it has gr8 road presence.Ecosport is small compared to these SUVS.Regards))))
An automatic variant of the Ertiga was recently launched in Indonesia, but so far, there are no plans for an automatic Ertiga for India yet. We are still not sure about the pricing of the Ford EcoSport 1.5 automatic, but I would prefer that to the Amaze automatic, purely for the brilliant six-speed dual clutch automatic transmission that the…[Read more]
I would suggest u wait for the ecosport and once the prices are out u can test drive both and then decide.
Yes.. Wait for the launch of the Ecosport.. Test drive both the vehicles and then decide
go for the punto 90HP otherwise go for the punto 75hp..
Yes Pick the Punto…. Regards
Fiat Punto 90HP is the gr8 car to drive
Punto for better ride quality, suspension and handling..and excellent build quality
i20 for more space and better comforts, features…
If you are comparing 75hp Punto, then its definitely not up against i20 Asta, in which case it is the better car. If you are comparing Punto 90 & Asta, 90 is the better car. Either ways, in a similar budget Punto is better than i20 as a product. Regards.
Experts, do not you think ASS and spare parts availability with Fiat will be an issue. Also, considering Tata guys who are selling Fiat cars (at least in Delhi, not sure about other cities) are not to interested in actually selling Fiat products to customers. They were not even ready to come to my home for a test drive and even at the show room I…[Read more]
@ Amit Maheshwari…same thing happened with me..I contacted 2 dealers of tata who sell fiat in jaipur in nov-dec 2012, but none helped me arranging a TD of 90hp and 74 hp, also worst part was that they did not even gave the correct on road price and was not able to book the same for me either. Funny part was that manager of one tata-fiat delaer…[Read more]
Yes. The spare parts availability and wide service network are the points where Hyundai scores over the Fiat
Amit – You most probably went to a Tata-Fiat dealer who is / was on the verge of losing his relationship with Fiat, why would that dealer say or do anything positive regarding Fiat? He has / had to open an independent dealership & service center (of Fiat standards which involves buying new expensive equipment), which most small dealers opted out…[Read more]
I think that u should not listen to the sales person at Fiat+Tata showroom..Because they would never like to sell any Fiat cars, instead they would insist you on buying Tata Car..
@ Amit…but both the tata-fiat and fiat alone have lost a potential customer like me and many customers like me, Hope fiat overcome this issue at places where they do not intend to open a dedicated and separate fiat showrooms. Rest is fine with fiat but not as good as hyundai.
Fiat has lost many potential customers for various reasons amongst which Tata-Fiat dealers is one important reason which resulted in Fiat going in for independent dealer network. Another important reason is insufficient knowledge that sales people have. They do not know USPs of vehicles they are supposed to sell in which case these products have…[Read more]
@ Amit..Hyundai cars/sedans/suv all are equally good too with things which you mentioned about them.
@ Amit..how different is punto 90hp and 74 hp in terms of ride quality, power, comfort , features and FE. Is it worth to spend more on 90hp even if you drive mostly in city and rarely on highways. Is it a good deal to buy 74 hp punto (diesel), one of my cousin intend to do so.
Difference in 75 & 90 is visible around 100 – 120 kmph & will be more & more as speeds will increase. 90 is strong & responsive & speedo needle moves up easily even if its around 150 kmph. Most people take the 90 since it offers too many things (on a technical level) over the 75 for just around 30k extra. Difference in cost of turbo itself is…[Read more]
@ Amit..but i guess fiat offers 90hp only on top end models like emotion or sports/absolute which are quite costly and may touch 8.5 to 8.7 lkh on road price. Does 90 hp sounds harsh when it crosses 100 km/h on speedometer.
no not at all it doesn’t sound harsh even at 140 KM/h u can cross 150 with ease
