Is the new AVN system also from Honda? if so they would have offered an exchange / discount on it. Otherwise try one of the online shopping / auction sites to sell it. The thing is you won’t get much for it, as buyers prefer aftermarket brands with full bill and warranty, rather than a system that was already standard fitment.
only honda can help u with this ….. no one else will take it just like that
That is indeed strange behaviour of the gauge. But it could be true too. Because the way Honda may have wired the system, is that when the car shifts to CNG, the petrol flow is cut off using and electric solenoid valve. This shuts off the fuel pump and possible in Honda’s case is also shutting off power to the fuel gauge (no idea why).
there is some problem with city’s fuel gauge…. once i filled around 5 liters of petrol but gauge did not rise…. so i got confused and then filled another 5 liters….. then the gauge went directly near half mark…. so strange…..

shikhar, if you fit CNG in a new car, then you will lose warranty etc.. its better to wait till the warranty period is over I think..
To add to what Mathew warns about – that you will lose any warranty coverage, the long-term compatibility of the Duster’s 1.6 engine with CNG is still unknown, although it should be possible.
Thanks Guys… I was thinking to install CNG after a years warranty only
You have CNG factory fit in the SX4, and CNG ready variant of the Honda City, both can run on CNG from day1, if you are open to other options and wish to save money on petrol bills.
THanks Amit.. what is the difference between Factory fitted CNG or if we get it from out side… As if i take factory fitted it will cost 65000 and if i can get it by my own it will cost less then 40000…
The prime difference between what comes factory fit (Maruti) or CNG ready (Honda) is that both these vehicles will retain standard as well as extended warranty. The engine has changes to run more efficiently on CNG, IIRC valve seats at the least. The suspensions too have changes to take the extra 100 – 150 kgs load which is a permanent weight in…[Read more]
