I d go with the Beat for its zero maintenance package and its “different” looks compared to the i10. This apart, the interiors of the i10 are better than the Beat and it is a larger selling model of the two. Both are equally efficient, give or take a couple of kms here and there.

As mentioned above, both cars are almost equally efficient and for the first three years Beat sounds a good deal in terms of maintenance but beyond that i personally don’t get satisfied by Chevys service. In the long haul i10 sounds a better option and you will also get a better resale. Please take a test drive though to check your level of…[Read more]

The rear seat of the Beat is like a dark room. The Windows are small and I didn’t like it. Otherwise the Beat is a sporty car and has a 1200 CC engine. the S-Tec engine is specially designed for a the Beat. Also, what I liked about the Beat is that the rear seats can be folded in a 60:40 ratio. The wheel size of the Beat is 14 inches which ensures…[Read more]

You didn’t say what are the requirements? Still, Verna for features and value for money also fluidic styling makes it head-turner. Etios is dull to drive and interior is function but not very attractive but is much reliable and ask less maintenance. Rapid is pure German styling with great driving dynamics, also the maintenance is not so easy as…[Read more]

The Verna handles very vaguely, the Fiesta is now outdated, the Etios, too plain inside. If I were in your place, I d go for the Rapid which is a fun to drive, economical car with a 4 year warranty. Take your pick.

Verna seems a good option out of the four and generally too. You get great features, styling, reliability, service network and is fun to drive in my opinion. The only known issue is of the suspension. Its too soft and thats it. If you are not an enthusiastic driver sorts you will not notice much difference.

Performance and space is more on the i20 side Swift perform very well but has less power (though only on papers). Swift’s fuel efficiency is much more higher than the i20′s.

both car performs very well however space offered in swift is less compared to i20 , in terms of fuel economy swift provides a slightly better over i20 .

Performance – i20 ( not much difference to write about though), Space – i20 (considerably more space and storage options), Fuel Consumption – Swift. The i20 offers more features too but that is the reason for the price difference, it gives value for money and with soooo many Swifts on road these days it looks different also.

if you want performance both the cars are good. if you want space then i20. and if you want mileage then the swift is better

It is advisable if you get a car from the ‘local’ dealers. Also i would suggest that for 200 km a month an Automatic wont be value for money. Even if you do decide for an automatic transmission you can look at the SX4 automatic. Its from maruti hence reliable, safe and the service center will also be nearer in case of any emergency.

Petrol would be good as your running is very small. People don’t spent that much money for only 200km running. But still if you are interested other than SX4 you can try Honda city AT, Ford Fiesta AT, both are very good for city as well as on highways. No such problem in these vehicle and for more peace of mind, go for Honda city.

Yes, Brio is also a good option. It offers space and reliability along with good performance. Else go with Maruti Ritz, also a good performing car.

If you want a car that’s spacious and has a good mix of features and fuel economy – go for the Nissan Sunny diesel. If you want a good service network and a car with a good all-round set of features – the Hyundai Verna. For 9 lakhs on road, you’ll…[Read more]

For Rs. 7 lakh you will get the top end Figo titanium – loaded with safety features as well. You’ll also get the mid-variant Swift VDI, and Tata Vista GX.

In 7 lakhs you have many options, but Figo and Swift will be the better options. If you are willing to wait, the Honda Brio is rumoured to be launching around Diwali, should be a good car with Honda venturing into Diesel territory in India.

Good Sedan options would be the Verna, SX4, Rapid (over the Vento for me) and the Nissan Sunnyl. The Sunny offers brilliant space, Verna the power and features, SX4 the reliability and Rapid the drivability. More insight on your requirements will help us suggest the better car for you.

Both diesel, right? Dzire waiting periods are very high right now due to Maruti’s Manesar plant lockout. Etios will be quicker to get. Both are good cars – but Dzire has better interiors while Etios interiors are very basic, but it is more spacious than the Dzire.

If you are willing to wait, then the swift dzire would be the more obvious choice, although Etios isnt a bad car itself but as said by Babychen it lacks greatly on the interiors part.

Basic difference is of the space and diesel engine. Etios is more spacious but less powered while Dzire has more power and less space. Dzire is more fun to drive, has better interior quality. Dzire is more fun to drive but wont make you happy on the weekends with its tiny boot.

dzire is certainly a better car as it has better interiors and a better diesel engine. the only flaw in the dzire is that you would have wait a lot but its worth waiting for the dzire
