Brio will be best pick if you can compomise on boot space, its an allrounder efficient, i10 1.2 is a good option if you need boot n more space but little less fe
5L budget makes it a bit difficult to suggest you a good B-segment petrol car. Plus, getting 17 KMPL of fuel efficiency in city drive makes it even more difficult case.
I think you might have to stretch your budget if you really want to look beyond K10 mounted cars (Alto, Wagon-R, A-Star, etc). You can go for either a Brio E / EX, i10 1.2…[Read more]
Go for Swift.
Chevy Beat
You do not get 17kmpl in city with the petrol cars, you need diesel for that. And you do not get diesels under 5L or thereabouts. All petrol hatchbacks give around 12-13kmpl in city with AC, with only the Brio and the likes of Nano and Alto800 being able to register 14kmpl consistently.
Thanks all for your advice. Brio owners Please give me your Genuine feedback on Brio FE.
My friend has a Brio, he say he gets around 15 in the city.
What could be the mileage of Swift Petrol in City?
Swift gives around 13kmpl
is swift petrol good option or not?
Overrated and expensive car. Think Ritz if you are willing to consider the Swift.
A few. 1. Make sure you idle the car for a minute in the morning and 30 seconds before each subsequent start and stop during the day. 2. Do not rev the engine beyond 2500rpm for the first 2k kms, and 3. Keep changing the engine/vehicle speed if you take it on a long drive. In the city, they keep varying all the time anyway.
Congrates buddy!
follow the manual and have hapy miles!
Congrats Suheil on your new Rapid. Do follow what Dev has suggested above. More pointers on running in your new car here: http://www.cartoq.com/how-to-safely-run-in-your-car/
Thank you
hearty congrats
no its not imported ….. well skoda auto is an international brand based at czech republic, but the indian variant of rapid is manufactured and assembled by SKODA INDIA, a subsidiary of skoda at chakan plant, maharashtra, INDIA…. cheers !!!
The 1.6 TDI engine in the Rapid is made by Volkswagen, assembled at Chakan. Most of the components for the engine are imported though, which is why parts are expensive. Chassis, plastics and body panels are made at Chakan in Pune.
oh k @roshun sir, did a research just now ,,,, its tragedic to know that audi, bentley, porsche, seat, skoda, lambhorgini, volkswagen, ….. these all are subsidiaries of volkswagen group based in germany …. volkswagen is really a jumbo ticket to many manufacturers, … these guys are really deep in this automobile market …. wowwwww !!!
well its not that big fig., a rough calculation would place you between 40 to 45 k for total service in a rough 6yrs period. its quiet low compared to vento, sunny , city … chill buddy, its a cool choice !!! cheers…
without a doubt its fiesta for handling..
The Fiesta is better, no two ways about it. But the Dzire is pretty good on its own right.
Check out the Honda Amaze too!
if you crossed your warranty period, then surely go for it, but your engine life, and bhp will reduce, ………. the best brands are lovato, zavoli, BRC, …. zavoli’s dealers in hyderabad are “standard consultants” , near coca cola factory, before ZTC, moulali …. i heard its the best in friends circle …. give it a try … search them in just…[Read more]
The Sunny uses the 4cylinder version of the Micra’s engine and is known to run well on CNG. So, the Micra will as well. Opt for a sequential kit from BRC, Tommetso Lovato or Landi Renzo

Too expensive. I has offered underbody coating by my Honda dealer for my Jazz at 3000 for the same. Market prices are even lower. Get in touch with a good car accessory shop. You will get a better deal. Underbody anti-rust coating does not affect warranty.
so what do u think shreyas i should do? go with the company or outside?
company says we have good quality coating
Don’t go for teflon coating its useless just get antirust undercoating done that will cost you ard 2200 from company only. Get it done from company showroom only.
but the company is charging 3500
Your dealer is charging too much. If they reduce the price by 500-700 bucks atleast, fine. Otherwise, get it done from the market.
One of the reasons this coating is offered to customers is to fleece them(Teflon under body coating?!). Unless you are in a place where the car is exposed to a lot of sea water , no modern car requires any coating. They come with adequate protection from the elements.
mr. tilak i stay where the docks (sea) are but it far from my house also the company told to do undercoating cause i stay near the sea but as i told them it not near. they say air, water will washing the car, etc etc it keeps on moving so u need to do that coating. i guess they to fleece me. i told them i will do it before rain.
Underbody coating is generally a good idea. It ensures the chassis remains rust free and also helps cutting out road noise. Teflon coating is more of a poser’s thing with little functional value, though I admit I have got it done on my Jazz.
You actually get the underbody coating from 3M for a cheaper price. Since you stay near the coastal area, I suggest you to get it done as soon as possible as coastal area are more prone to metal corrosion.
so experts how much do i bargain with the company?/
Like I said, 500-700 minimum. But I do not think they will entertain. 3M is a good brand and is freely available in the market.
ok can u tell me where in south mumbai can i get 3M
Trust me, dealers fleece. Get it done from a good accessories guy.
I would say the Maruti Ertiga
. Vento definitely is overpriced, Duster would be more likely to be the right one in the 3 that you have stated.
Vento is a sedan , Innova is an MUV and Duster is SUV. Three cars are from different category and each of them is VFM in its own category. I completely agree with Sandeep..Ertiga is most VFM compared to others.
Innova is somehow most value for money as you get more space and more comfort at the same price and even low maintenance. Innova is proven and great to drive anywhere. After that Duster make more sense and Vento is the last.
In SUV value for money is duster but renault hikes prices about 50k in duster soo yu can go for scorpio has 7seater,features,handling,muscular body and in MUV xylo is value for money has space,comport,30 voice command and much more features than innova ..top end of xylo comes below 13L but innova base starts from 11L.. In seden value for money is verna ..
Duster is the Least VFM
Since you are already a Ford customer and love how the Figo is doing, wait a bit – the EcoSport should be on your shopping list. It will be easier dealing with the service center for service for both cars of the same brand.
Wait for Eco Sport and then you can decide.
