actually this issue arises only when the car is standstill ( in all cars) as there is only one fan ( radiator fan) that blows the air thru radiator which is already hot & that air is only the media to dissipate heat from both radiator & condenser. to atmosphere. as the air coming out of radiator already is hot & is not efficient to cool off the…[Read more]
Seems the master cylinder is loosing pressure. Are you experiencing variable idling rpm? Also, do you feel that the brakes are biting low? As in, braking force is developed only in the lower half of the brake pedal travel?
go to the dealership & explain them the issue. i guess engine is not able to generate enough vacuum to assist braking.but this issue is not in public till date.
Dear Shreyans, rpm is ok, brakes are generally fine too. I have faced this issue 4-5 times in last 1 month only
Dear Vikrant, dealership says it does not face this issue in test drive. Since this occurs once in 7-10 days cannot prove it to them.
I would take the Yeti any given day. The Ertiga is a stretched Swift platform while the Duster is on the Logan, XUV is Mahinda’s first monocoque while the Xylo is a body roll champion in this list.
Yeti. Heads, shoulders, backs, legs and feet above the rest.
yeti will win a day on rest of the players.
Skip the Vento, it has no safety features. The City has dual airbags and ABS while the other two miss out on the passenger airbag. The Fiesta is definitely the drivers car with a wide margin above the others. Ford offer better tires, better warranty and it will be easier to get a better discount on a Fiesta which already is cheaper than the City…[Read more]
Which will be cheaper to maintain City / fiesta? keeping in mind long term perspective of new fiesta. I heard ford is planning to discontinue the fiesta and bringing fiesta – hatch.
That should really not be a bother since the upcoming Eco Sport is based on the platform of the new Fiesta. Even if the car is discontinued, spares should not become a problem for years to come. Since resale is highly dynamic, a simple example would be a petrol Swift which is 5 years old that now hardly gets a price, you can safely ignore any…[Read more]

Ford Ecosport has all the makings to be just the car you are looking for.
IN PLACE OF WAITING GO FOR FORD ECOSPORT. COZ TILL THE TIME THESE AFORESAID CARS HIT THE MARKET YOU’LL BE HAVING ONE IN YOUR CUSTODY.. AS THE NEW ONCE WILL HAVE WAITING PERIOD.
You can upgrade your alternator – you just have to buy a new one from Lucas with the correct rating – you mean 90 AH right, not Watts. It can be done – but why do you want it? Are you putting in a bigger battery as well?
Technically it may be possible, but electricals are tricky things so be very sure of what all needs to be changed after upgrading an alternator. Will you require to change the entire wiring harness or only some parts. How will your ECU take it.
No ECU 2001 Euro1 model..Roshun sir,I already got larger battery Scorpio one.70 AH.But my alternator is troublesome from many years.Always rectifier and regulator will go kaput. This is most iritating niggle of Tata .So finally i decided to replace whole unit so was contemplating the idea of changing to Higher AH ones..if possible. So thrown…[Read more]
I will replace wid higher rating only if it is a plug and play type replacement..if wiring harness or anything needs to be changed,,i wont do it..So plz suggest.
look over all the electrical requirements before upgrading the alternator. there are some parts which are fed with electricity directly from the alternator. if the rating is matching then there are no worries. rest will be taken care off by fuses.
I don’t really think that, that even matters.Anyways nissan sunny’s cabin will be cooled more efficiently because it has rear AC unit present in the front of the rear row middle passenger.
normally in auto climate ac temp. can go as low as 16 deg. +/- 05 deg..
It’s not just the temperature, but the time taken to reach that temperature that matters – that depends on blower speed, size of the cabin and the size of the AC compressor. The Sunny’s AC is quite average – great in the front seats, but in the rear seat – the blower in the centre is just a fan, and it circulates air from the front seat to the…[Read more]

If still you are not getting proper cooling effect then there must be any leaks somewhere in the system. take your car to any ac expert shop other than the dealership. they will tell you exact problem.
is your door lining okay, … a friend of mine with baleno, was fed up … he did everything possible, but didn’t look at the rear door lining, which was the cause for poor cooling ….
there is still a leak in your system..get it checked up properly
Check your radiator fan as well. Sometimes, a malfunctioning radiator fan does not allow the entire airconditioning unit to function properly.
WEIGHT OF THE VARIANTS ARE ALMOST IDENTICAL FOR PULSE. IT IS PRETTY STABLE IN 3 FIGURE SPEEDS. WHAT IS BETTER OPTION DIESEL OR PETROL DEPENDS ON THE USAGE. IF ITS MORE THAN 1200 KMS/MONTH THEN DIESEL ELSE PETROL SHOULD BE THE CHOICE.
petrol is always, peppier, rev friendly, …. it gives better boost feeling while accelerating, ,,, while driving at highways suppose you need to change lanes as slow person ahead, you slow down to speed up, that thrust feel is never so admirable as in petrol …. thumbs up for petrol
:-)
DIESEL..It’s got fantastic diesel engine.which has got excellent drive-ability.Extremely tractable from low Rpms. Got extremely frugal fuel consumption figures..Very reliable engine. Hands Down It mauls its petrol engine siblings.SO DIESEL PULSE IS WAY BETTER THAN ITS PETROL ENGINE.If less than 1200kms/month than also Diesel is better due to…[Read more]
In the Renault Pulse, I would anyday prefer the diesel. The 1.5 litre diesel may not be as powerful on paper, but when you drive it, the way this car can pull effortlessly from low rpm is nice. And it can cruise at three digit speeds, with a very nice ride quality – quite stable.
one must mention that there isn’t any turbo lag in this car.
