India becomes the second country after China to get the LWB version of the vehicle while India is the only country where the right-hand drive version is sold. The vehicle is 205mm longer than the regular E-Class, which translates into bigger cabin space, almost similar to the S-Class.

The new E-Class is over 5 metres in length. The car looks huge and gets signature LED DRLs, which makes it look different from the siblings, S-Class or even the C-Class. The new E-Class also receives new alloy wheels, electrical ORVMs with integrated turn indicators and LED taillamps making the car very classy and elegant.

The E-Class also comes loaded with features. The long wheelbase is essentially meant for chauffeur driven customers, and it comes with reclining rear seats that can go up to 35 degrees. The car gets a panoramic sunroof, a 13-speaker Burmester sound system, 12.3-inch media display screen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay controls. The steering wheel of the car also gets a new touchpad control for the multimedia and car settings.

The new E-Class has self-parking assist along with a reverse camera, and 360 degrees surround aerial view camera. There are parking sensors at front and rear, driver assist and alert features. The car gets seven airbags, ABS, EBD and traction control. Mercedes-Benz also provides a high level of customisation with the E-Class and offers various trims and options. The car also comes with 64 shades of ambient lighting inside the cabin.

The new E-Class is powered by the similar 3-litre diesel engine and 2.0-litre petrol engine. The E350d gets the turbo-diesel engine that generates a maximum of 258 BHP and 620 Nm of maximum torque. The 2.0-litre petrol engine develops a maximum of 238 bhp and 300 Nm of torque. Both the variants are equipped with a 9-speed automatic transmission.
