Nissan’s first mass-market car in the over-crowded hatchback segment is the all new Micra. The Micra, priced starting at Rs. 3.98 lakh, is Nissan’s answers to premium hatchback segment leader, the Maruti Suzuki Swift and other popular hatchbacks such as Ford Figo and Hyundai i20.
The Micra is powered by an all-new HR12 DOHC 12-valve 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine that makes 76ps @ 6000 rpm, while torque output is 104Nm @ 4000 rpm. The Nissan Micra comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
Nissan says that the Micra is a reliable, stylish, safe and eco-friendly and a car for people who enjoy everyday driving. We can’t wait to get our hands on it for a longer session even after the very interesting Nissan Micra mini-road test / first drive that we enjoyed a couple of weeks back.
Nissan Micra will be available in three standard variants of XE (Entry), XL (Mid) and XV (Top). Available in two interior colour schemes: black, and griege (only XV). The Nissan Micra will be introduced in a range of six colours; Sunlight Orange, Brick Red, Pacific Blue, Storm White, Blade Silver and Onyx Black.
Micra XE (Rs. 3.98 lakh)
The base variant of the Micra XE DOES NOT have full wheel covers, adjustable front headrests, power windows, central locking and remote keyless entry. Here is a table showing the list of features found in the XE.
