I think you mean DZire. It gives around 11 kmpl in regular city driving. The Fiesta however, gives around 13. Ford claims it is India's most fuel efficient automatic and is ARAI certified at 16.97kmpl. It is also a much nicer car to drive. All that tech sure gives results but it is significantly more expensive than the Maruti.
The Fiesta automatic is a six-speed dual clutch and is inherently more efficient than the four-speed traditional torque convertor used in the Dzire.
Fiesta automatic is in a different league - dual clutch tech makes it very fast to shift. But for its price, the AT of the Dzire is good.
The biggest ripoff is that Maruti charges 1.5 lakhs extra for the simple automatic variant they are offering whereas Ford is chargind just a lakh more for a Dual Clutch 6 gear system. It maybe almost 3 lakhs higher than the DZire but if you look at the extra features that it is endowed with including the higher capacity powered engine that gives better mileage, the climate controls, the airbags, the drift control system, the folding mirrors, etc. Worth every penny.
Niranjan is right - but the final price is too high for someone who is also considering the Dzire AT I guess.
