SUV's are ideally vehicles that can handle off-road activities as well (Sport utility...). MUVs are vaguely classified as vehicles that are people movers with the ability to haul 7-9 people and their luggage (multi-utility). The XUV is actually a crossover (also called a soft roader), that has the characteristics of an SUV, with the handling of a sedan - it's a cross between an SUV & a sedan.
