The simple answer is yes. It is a good vehicle that can carry 5 people in comfort, and 7 people if needed. What was the reason for you to select the Ertiga? Which variant did you have in mind?
Going by the sheer response the car has generated, I think it's a good vehicle. Does it meet your needs of a spacious car with 2 extra seats when needed? If yes, then stick by your decision. As far as Ertiga is concerned, it has car-like handling, decent ride quality and fuel efficient engines (16 kmpl petrol and 20 kmpl diesel). It can transport 6 passengers in comfort and 7 passengers is a bit of squeeze, but expect no (very little) luggage space unless you fold the third row. Being a Maruti, service and maintenance costs will be low and so you need not worry about that. But if budget is not a constraint and you want a full-sized MPV, then nothing can beat the Toyota Innova.
