I am planning to buy a vehicle within a budget of maximum Rs. 8 lakh. I have booked the new maruti swift dzire but am having a slight change of mind after hearing about the Renault Duster. Please help!

Duster will take some time to come, probably by June-July. You want to wait till then?
Is it worth the wait.
If you are keen on a small SUV, yes. remember that it is not very big - space inside will be similar to an i20 or something... but with some good luggage space in the back. This is not an SUV in the Scorpio or Safari class, it is much smaller. But you get high ground clearance, a decent engine and build quality, and decent price.
Thank you...
what about the interiors...
Interiors are being reworked, so we don't know as of now how the interior will look. It's being changed from what the current Dacia Duster looks like.
are we getting the 85bhp model or the 105bhp model in india?
can i get duster petrol 4×2 upto 8 lakhs?
Naman: It is possible to get the 2WD version at that price, yes. lets hope so.
In a test drive video i saw that duster is not up to the mark in engine refinement...is it true?
Can't say for the moment until we drive it. But the K9K diesel engine that will be used in the Duster is the same one in the Micra, Verito, Sunny and Fluence in different power specifications. The Duster will probably have the 110 bhp (Fluence spec) motor and the 85 bhp (Sunny spec) motor. We've driven the Sunny and Fluence, and engine noise is not that much of a problem. It is audible, yes, but not to a level that it can get irritating.
just one doubt how are we comparing swift dzire to Renault duster actually?
Devraj, people go by budget above all in India. But yes, Duster will be costlier than Dzire anyway....
:) ok sir
