I think the Swift is a better choice for you as you want to drive enthusiastically :)

Though I don't completely understand what "feel racing factor" means, I presume its handling characteristics. Here the Swift is definitely better. For safety, though both of them have a 5 Star Euro NCAP rating, I won't take either of them. For safety its Fiat at the top and the only secondary options (in my opinion) would be VW or Skoda. Swift would be better in handling here..But the safest hatch is the Hyundai i20....As it has all round disk brakes in diesel models...and 6 airbags on petrol top model!!!

1. A close save in a Punto will definitely be an accident in an i20, handling characteristics. 2. The passenger cabin in my opinion is definitely stronger, look around the internet for the Palio hit by a train, the Linea on which a 25 ton lorry rested post a frontal collision or the Punto which was sandwiched in two trucks. In all these cases occupants were unhurt because the passenger cabin took a lot more abuse than expected. I have not heard a Maruti / Hyundai in such context. Personally, I have had a blow out at a crazy speed, had it been an i20, the dead EPS and soft suspension combination would have definitely killed me. Its not just what we see on paper my dear friend, there are many other variables when safety is considered. Believe it rather than experience it is all I can say. Regards.
