Renault Kwid Outsider
The Kwid already has strong SUV DNA in its design language. Renault took the hatchback and transformed it into a crossover version. Called the Outsider, the car has been developed to suit the road conditions of the developing countries. Even though the car looks very similar to the Kwid, Renault says that about 80 per cent of the car consists of new parts.
The car gets gold colour from the Duster with green accents in between. The grille and the headlamp are the same but bumpers has been updated with a larger air intake. The car gets cladding all around for tough looks and to prevent scratches from the rough roads. There are also faux silver skid plate at the front and the rear. This is something that Indian customers will love to drive without worrying about damaging their vehicles.
Renault Duster Extreme
The Duster is 4wD SUV but will fall short of breath if any challenging off-road section is thrown at it. The Latin American design team of Renault came up this extreme version of the Duster that can happily take on any road section thrown at it.
The Duster Extreme gets many high-performance equipment like LED headlamps, all-terrain tyres, towing hook, higher ground clearance, skid plates at both front and rear, plastic cladding on the rood, snorkel and much more. The interiors get red accents and EXTREME word printed on the dashboard. The steering wheel gets 4WD lettering.
Hyundai Creta STC
The Hyundai Creta has been one good looking vehicle. The sharp looks has make it very famous in every market it is currently present in. Hyundai took a step forward to build this extreme pick-up style vehicle to take on the concepts like Duster Oroch. The Creta STC is longer by 38 cm and wider by 7 cm. The wheelbase has grown by 21 cm. The pick-up flatbed volume is 850 litres.
Painted in green colour, the STC looks real aggressive. Power is delivered by 1.6-litre 128 BHP and 2.0-litre 166 BHP engines. Hyundai did not say if it will come with AWD system but by the looks of it, the STC can take on any surface with maximum style.
Maruti Ignis water activity
The Maruti Ignis is yet to launch in India but the car does look very good. It will be the replacement of the Ritz and the market is waiting for this car to arrive in India soon. The water activity concept showcased at the Indonesia Auto Show is one hell of a design. There is a kayak on the roof that gets dedicated hooks to hold it in place.
The car gets a dark green exterior with orange highlights on the grille, bumper, side sills, rims and mirror caps. The water activity concept is powered by a 1.2-litre VVT petrol engine that produces a maximum of 83 BHP and 115 Nm of maximum torque. It also gets a 5-speed manual transmission.
Chevrolet Beat/Spark Sinister
The Beat is known as the Spark in the international markets. The American hatchback has a DNA of strong muscles and looks intimidating even in its stock form. The ‘Sinister’ concept was showcased at the SEMA show and it looks like the perfect car to be termed as hot hatch.
The Sinister concept gets pained in Carbon Flash Metallic colour and gets Bahia red accents with matte-black graphics on the body. The car also receives a wide body kit that includes bold rocker fairings, a rear diffuser, a rear wing spoiler. The car also gets two rear exhausts and a huge air intake up front. The 18-inch wheels with low profile tyres make the car look truly sinister.
