Tata’s latest product in the market, the Nexon is doing quite well. Tata Motors will come up with as many as ten new products in the next couple of years. Here is all you need to know about them.

Expected launch: Late 2018
Codenamed as Q501, the all-new SUV from Tata will take on the likes of Mahindra XUV 500 in the market. The new vehicle will be the first vehicle that will be launched in the market that has been developed with the Tata-JLR partnership. The car has been caught testing in India with Discovery Sport body on it.
The Q501 will use the same LR550 platform used by the Discovery Sport. The SUV will also get SUV components from the Discovery Sport. It is expected to be powered by a 2.0-litre Multijet diesel engine sourced from Fiat.
Q502
Expected launch: Early 2019
The Q502 will be the flagship of Tata brand in India. The 7-seater SUV will be a full-size SUV that is expected to take on the likes of Toyota Fortuner in the Indian market. The Q502 will be the long-wheelbase version of the Q501 and will get a similar list of features. The engine the platform will remain same as the Q501.
X451
Expected launch: 2019
The Tiago is doing good in the market but Tata is still missing from the premium hatchback segment. The X451 will become the first vehicle to be launched on Tata’s new Advanced Modular Platform (AMP). The X451 gets a very futuristic design with inputs from Tata’s Indian and European design teams.
The car is expected to be powered by the new 1.5-litre engine that is available with the 1.5-litre engine that is available with the Nexon. There will be a 1.2-litre turbocharged from the Nexon as well.
Nexon AMT
Launch: November 2017
The Nexon proved to a good success for Tata Motors. However, the Indian company does not offer an automatic transmission with the Nexon yet. Recently, the Nexon AMT had been spotted at one of the Tata dealerships and the launch is imminent. Currently, the Nexon is available with 6-speed manual transmission with the petrol and diesel engines. The AMT will be most likely be a 6-speed AMT unit.
Tiago Sport
Launch: 2018
Tata Tiago sales have been increasing every month now and the manufacturer also launched the AMT version of the vehicle. Tata is now planning to launch the Tiago Sport and it may come next year. The car will get a body kit with a new bumper that will add sportiness. The 1.2-litre turbocharged engine that powers the Nexon is expected on the Tiago Sport too.
Nano electric
Launch: Early 2018
Tata Nano has failed to meet Tata’s expectancy since the initial days. Tata is now planning put a new lease of life in the Nano by electrifying it. Tatat is planning to take on the Mahindra E20 Plus with the new vehicle and it is expected to be showcased at the Auto Expo. Tata has already started testing the electric Nano in India. As per reports, the electric Nano will be aimed at the taxi fleet owners initially.
Pelican
Expected launch: Late 2018
The Pelican is the all-new version of the Tata Nano that will come with new features to attract customers. The Pelican may get a different body style with larger headlamps and sportier stance than the Nano. Changes like the repositioning of the speedometer will be done to make it more suitable for the market too. Tata may also launch the Pelican as an electric vehicle.
City rival
Expected launch: 2019

Tata is also working on a mid-size sedan to take on the likes of Honda City, Maruti Ciaz and Hyundai Verna in the market. Tata’s global design teams located in Turin, Italy, and Coventry, UK are currently working the project. The sedan will be based on the X451 hatchback and further details are not out yet.
Tigor electric
Expected launch: Early 2019
Tata Motors won a bid to supply electric Tigor to the government entity EESL (Energy Efficiency Services Limited). The company will start the first shipments in this month itself and soon they may launch the vehicle for the customers. Tata will build the new vehicle at its Sanand plant but the specifications have not been revealed yet. The car is expected to be powered by 85 kWh motor that will have a minimum range of 100 km and a top speed of 135 km/h.
Tiago electric
Expected launch: 2019
Tata has revealed the Tiago electric for the UK market during the LCV exhibition. The Tiago electric has been developed by the European technical centre. It is powered by an 85 kWh engine that develops a maximum of 200 Nm. The car can do 0-100 km/h in just 11 seconds and can reach a top speed of 135 km/h. With the electric car market going forward in India, Tata may bring the Tiago electric to make its portfolio stronger.
