Mahindra Scorpio N was one of the most anticipated product from the Indian SUV maker this year. The delivery for the all-new Scorpio N started last month and there are several videos of the same available online. Just like any new product in the market, Scorpio N owners have also been reporting issues with the new SUV. This time around, we have come across a video where a 15 days old Scorpio N broke down on a highway as the clutch pedal lost pressure. The video is already available online and has already gone viral.
The video has been uploaded by Raftaar 7811 on their YouTube channel. In this video, the owner of the SUV is seen explaining what actually happenend. He bought a brand new Scorpio N diesel manual SUV 15 days ago. The SUV has only done around 914 km and this issue occured. The clutch pedal on this SUV lost pressure and became free. The owner shows how he has to manually push and pull the pedal. It has completley lost the pressure and the clutch is not engaging anymore. He mentions that the car faced this issue on Peripheral Expressway.
The owner can be heard saying in the video that he was travelling with his family. The owner was very dissappointed and the same is reflecting in his face as well. He also adds that, once the SUV broke down, he called Mahindra’s RSA three times and everytime, the call got disconnected. After couple of more tries, the call center responded and they got a flat bed. Facing such an issue with a brand new vehicle is extremely painful. The owner requests Mahindra to look into the matter and fix the issue. It should be noted that Scorpio N is not a cheap vehicle by any means. The issue that the customer facing here in the video could be because of a faulty clutch master cylinder.
This is not the first time an issue has been reported in Mahindra Scorpio N. Earlier this month, another video of a Mahindra Scorpio N owner had gone viral. In that video, the owner shared that his Scorpio N was overheating after the SUV was idling for only 5 minutes. The MID on the instrument cluster was showing a rise in engine temperature. The coolant in the car had completely vanished and that could either be because of a leak in the hose or something much deeper than that. Some other Scorpio N owners have also reported trouble with the clutch pedal.
Mahindra Scorpio N is an all-new SUV and it has nothing in common with the Scorpio Classic. Scorpio N is much more premium when compared to the regular Scorpio. It gets features like dual-tone premium looking interiors, touchscreen infotainment system, Adrenox connected car system, electric sunroof, dual-zone climate control, leatherette seat upholstery and so on. It is available with both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol version uses a 2.0 litre mStallion turbocharged engine and the diesel version uses a 2.2 litre mHawk turbocharged unit. Both petrol and diesel are available with manual and automatic transmission but only the diesel version gets 4×4.
