Fiat India launched the 2012 version of the Linea sedan on January 3rd, 2012. The new Linea looks exactly like the earlier model, but not also comes in a new color ‘Oceanic Blue’. Fiat has improved the Linea’s ground clearance, which is now an impressive 185 mm.
On the interiors, the 2012 Linea has a light beige coloured fabric seats, dashboard and door trims. Rain sensing wipers and auto on/off head lamps are two new features in the 2012 Linea. It also gets a better AC and sound reduction techniques have been applied on the diesel variants.
The 2012 Linea is powered by the same engine and transmission as the old model. The petrol version of Linea is powered by a 1.4-liter FIRE motor that puts out 88 bhp of power while the 1.4 litre turbocharged T-Jet petrol engine puts out 113 bhp and the 1.3-litre MULTIJET diesel motor churns out 92 bhp of power. Fiat claims that the Linea 1.3 Multijet diesel now has a mileage of 20.4 kmpl while the 1.4 petrol Linea will have a mileage of 14.6 kmpl. The 2012 Linea is roughly Rs. 60,000 more expensive than the previous model.

The base ‘Active’ variant doesn’t get ABS, Airbags and Automatic climate control. The following are the features offered in the Active variant.

Linea 1.4 Dynamic Petrol (Rs. 7.80 lakh), 1.3 Dynamic Diesel (Rs.8.83 lakh)
The Dynamic variant gets all the features of the base variant and in addition gets ABS with EBD, dual front airbags, Bluetooth and steering mounted audio controls.

Linea 1.3 Emotion Diesel (Rs. 9.18 lakh)
The Emotion variant gets all the features of the Dynamic variant and in addition gets premium leather upholstery, double folding rear backseat and R16 alloy wheels.
