The upcoming (in India; launch expected next year) Toyota Fortuner will also get a sportier TRD Sportivo version. The brochure for the said version has made it online thanks to the Headlight Magazine.
To be introduced in the Thai market, the Fortuner TRD Sportivo gets new bumpers, TRD-branded accessories (chrome muffler, door sills, 20-inch alloys), roof finished in a contrasting colour, and of course a TRD badge on the tailgate. The vehicle will be available in two colours, namely White Pearl CS and Attitude Black Mica.
The TRD-branded accessories continue on the inside, too, with different floor mats, instrument cluster, a two-tone upholstery, and a 7-inch touchscreen system. In terms of powertrain, the Fortuner will use the 2.8-liter diesel engine that makes 177 PS and 450 Nm of maximum torque. The brakes and the suspension, meanwhile, are likely to be upgraded.
As IAB rightly points out, the current version of the Fortuner has been offered with a TRD Sportivo version, and it won’t be wrong to expect the same on the new one that goes on sale next year.
