Over the past month or so, Hyundai has been updating their model line up in India. First it was the Grand i10 that got a facelift and then there was a leaked brochure of the updated Elite i20. Following this, Hyundai has also updated the Creta for the 2017 model year now.
The company didn’t hold a launch for this product, but silently updated it on their site and on their brochure. The new vehicle looks exactly like the 2016 model, but there is a new dual tone colour option on offer which is becoming a trend nowadays. The dual tone was previously only available on the anniversary edition. This can be had in white with black roof or red with black roof. The painted portion also includes the pillars. This will only be on offer on the SX+ MT trim level though. This variant will also now get black interiors with red and black upholstery.
On the inside, there is one major change that has taken place on the Creta. While the previous version also got a touch screen system, this one has been updated. From the S+ model onwards, you will now get a new system which has Apple Car play, Android Auto and Mirrorlink connectivity. In addition to this, there will also be a new Arkamys sound mood. The variants that get this are the S+, SX+, SX+ dual tone and the SX (O).
You can now get the lower E+ grade on the diesel 1.4 liter with manual transmission and the base E grade can only be had in the petrol model. Engine options remain the same. There are 2 diesel engines on offer, a 1.4 liter (89 Bhp/224 Nm) and a 1.6 liter one making 126 Bhp and 265 Nm. The petrol is a 1.6 liter unit which makes 122 Bhp and 154 Nm. Both the petrol and diesel 1.6 can be had with an automatic and manual transmission, thus providing a wide range of options to the consumer.
