Volkswagen has launched a new variant on the Vento. The Highline Plus variant with additional features is launched at Rs. 10.84 lakh, ex-showroom, Mumbai. The variant will be available with all the three engine options; 1.6-litre petrol, 1.2-litre turbo petrol and 1.5-litre turbo diesel.
The new variant gets additional features like LED headlamps, LED DRLs and a rear view camera. Except for these two new additions, everything else remains the same in the vehicle. Other features include side indicators are now integrated with the ORVMs, Zirkonia alloy wheels, automatic rain sensing wipers. On the inside, the Vento gets rear AC vents, auto-dimming mirror, cooled glove box and a multi-function steering wheel.

The Vento is powered by three engine options. There is a 1.6-litre MPI naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine that produces a maximum of 103 BHP and 153 Nm of maximum torque. There is a more powerful petrol engine in the form of 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol that produces a maximum of 102 BHP of maximum power and 173 Nm of torque. The 1.6-litre engine gets only 5-speed manual gearbox while the turbocharged petrol engine only comes with 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox.
The Vento is also offered with 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine that develops a maximum power of 108 BHP and 250 Nm of maximum torque. The engine option gets both 5-speed manual and 7-speed DSG automatic as options.
