2018 Bentley Continental GT launching in India on 24th March

The Bentley Continental GT super luxurious grand tourer is one of the sportiest cars made by the British brand now owned by the Volkswagen group. An all-new version of the Continental GT will be launched in India on the 24th of March. The 2018 Continental GT is the 3rd generation version of the car, and will compete with the Rolls Royces and Aston Martins of this world. This should give you an idea of how expensive and bespoke the Continental GT is as a car. It will be priced at over Rs. 4 crores, and to justify that kind of pricing will be packed with luxury, cutting-edge features and creature comforts.

The 2018 Continental GT will be powered by a 6 liter W12 turbocharged petrol engine. The 12 cylinder engine will make some eye-watering power and torque. Peak power is rated at 635 PS and peak torque, at 900 Nm. A dual-clutch 8-speed automatic transmission will channel all that torque to the four wheels of the car through an all-wheel drive system. The Continental GT will deliver blinding acceleration, with the 0-100 Kmph run coming up in just 3.7 seconds. Top speed is a stunning 333 Kmph. These numbers make the Continental GT a machine that even supercars will think twice before messing with.

The new Continental GT is roomier than before on the inside but has shed up to 80 kilograms of weight due to the use of light weight materials. The car also gets an adaptive chassis with a Dynamic ride-system. This gives the car superior handling while cushioning its occupants from the various imperfections of the road.

The interiors of the 2018 Continental GT get a bespoke finish with ‘diamond-in-diamond’ leather upholstery, and a quilted finish. The car also gets a driver-focused instrument cluster and a rotating display that shows the infotainment unit in one view, and when rolled over, shows outside temperature, a compass and a stopwatch on analog dials. Classy, we must say.
