2018 Harley Davidson Street Bob, Fat Bob, Fat Boy and Heritage Classic launched in India

Harley-Davidson India has showcased their 2018 range of Softail motorcycles in India. The American cruiser motorcycle maker has launched four new models in India. The new range is priced from Rs. 11.99 lakh to Rs. 18.99 lakh, ex-showroom India. Here’s all you want to know.

Street Bob

The entry-level motorcycle of the Harley-Davidson range in India gets a minimalistic design philosophy. The motorcycle carries a price tag of Rs. 11.99 lakh. The motorcycle gets a new suspension from Showa at the front and a preloaded adjustable Showa monoshock at the rear. The motorcycle is built around an all-new frame which is claimed to be stiffer than the previous one.

It is powered by the Milwaukee-Eight 107 engine. It generates a maximum torque of 144 Nm at a low rpm of 3,000 rpm. Harley-Davidson continues to keep the power confidential. The new Harley-Davidson Street Bob looks extremely different from the previous motorcycle.

Fat Bob

The next in line is the Fat Bob, which looks extremely unique with its rectangular LED headlamp. The Fat Bob gets an overall makeover and gets wider tyres and muscular mufflers. The Fat Bob is priced at Rs. 13.99 lakh and is powered by the same Milwaukee-Eight engine. The engine produces 145 Nm of torque in the Fat Bob. Harley-Davidson has also redesigned the frame to make it stiffer and has upgraded the suspension system.

Fat Boy

The Fat Boy is one of the most popular Softail models in the world. The motorcycle gets a price tag of Rs. 17.49 lakh in India. The motorcycle gets upgrades like keyless ignition system, a new fuel tank, upgraded instrumentation cluster and LED headlamps. The suspension system of the Fat Boy also gets remote pre-load adjustability. The 2018 Fat Boy has become lighter by 16 kg. It is powered by the same Milwaukee-Eight 107 engine.

Heritage Classic

The Heritage Classic is the top-of-the-line Softail model in India. The motorcycle offers classic, vintage styling with modern features. The Motorcycle gets LED headlamps and upgraded suspension system. It has also lost 17 kg of weight. Harley now offers new rigid, lockable and waterproof saddlebags with the motorcycle. It gets the same engine as the rest of the models. It is priced at Rs. 18.99 lakh.
