Triumph Motorcycles has launched yet another model of the Bonneville series in India. Its based on the Bobber, is called the Bonneville Speedmaster and has been priced at Rs 11.11 lakh (ex-showroom) making it the British brand’s most affordable ‘cruiser’ in India. With this new model, Triumph now offers four different Bonneville versions in India.
The Speedmaster is a fusion of classic retro styling and new age modern tech and gets design inspiration from the brand’s offerings in the 50s and the 60s. It comes powered by the same 1200cc parallel-twin engine that is good for 76 bhp of power and 106 Nm of maximum torque. Riding on 150/80 rear and 130/90 front tyres, the Speedmaster is aimed at laid back touring rides. It also features a rear seat, something that is missing on the Bobber. The laid back styling is evident from the different riding posture and a smaller rake angle.
In terms of tech, the Speedmaster gets two riding modes, rain and road and comes ABS, traction control, Ride-by-Wire and even a cruise control feature. You also get full LED headlamps with LED day time running lights, a trip computer and an Immobiliser.
The Speedmaster is Triumph’s first launch this year – the brand had launched as many as five models last year, namely, the Street Triple S, Street Triple RS, Street Scrambler, Tiger Explorer XCx and the Bonneville Bobber. This new bike will be available in two inspiration kids of Highway and Maverick. These kits offer custom add-ons like a windscreen, leather panniers, flatter handlebars etc.
Customers can pick from three different colors, Jet Black, Cranberry Red and Fusion White with Phantom Black and the Speedmaster will come with a 2 year / unlimited mileage warranty with a first major service interval of 16,000 km! Like the bike? Hit the play button to watch more
