According to ACI, the booking amount for the new Ford Endeavour is Rs. 1 lakh. These are unofficial bookings as Ford India is yet to officially announce the bookings or exact launch date of the vehicle.  The Ford Endeavour takes on the likes of Toyota Fortuner and recently launched Mahindra Alturas G4 in the Indian market.

The new Ford Endeavour carries minute cosmetic changes that will keep it fresh in the market. The front of the new Endeavour gets a newly revised grille, which is designed to the new family design of Ford. The headlamps have been updated too and look sleeker than the current headlamps. It also gets a restyled bumper with a new silver chrome insert.

Ford will also update the interior of the Endeavour with the update but just like the exteriors, the changes are limited. The SUV will get an all-black interior with a slightly redesigned dashboard. The new Ford Endeavour gets additional features when compared to the current model. Features like keyless entry with a push start/stop button, foot-activated power tailgate and new SYNC3 infotainment system, which is much more advanced than the current version. The new infotainment also gets the Android Auto and Apple CarPlay phone connectivity, which makes connecting the phone much easier. It will feature the emergency calling system, just like the current version of the SUV.

Apart from the new features, the 2019 Endeavour also gets Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) system that will automatically apply the brakes of the vehicle when it senses a collision at lower speeds. Along with AEB, the Endeavour will get the Forward Collision Warning (FCW), which will notify the driver of any possible collision from the front. The feature list is vast and also includes a tyre pressure monitoring system, handsfree powered tailgate and other features.

The Thailand-spec Ford Endeavour received a new 2.0-litre engine that replaced the ageing 2.2-litre diesel engine, which is available in the Indian market. The all-new engine comes into two different states of tunes. There is a 180 Bhp – 420 Nm version and a 213 Bhp – 500 Nm version. However, the Indian market will continue to get the same 2.2-litre and the 3.2-litre diesel engines.

The 2.2-litre diesel engine produces a maximum power of 158 Bhp and peak torque of 385 Nm. It currently gets the only automatic transmission and is available in only 4X2 set-up. The bigger 3.2-litre diesel engine generates a maximum power of 197 Bhp and a peak torque of 470 Nm. It is only available in the 4X4 automatic set-up. Ford did a lot of shuffle in the variants in India. The new facelifted version of the Endeavour is expected to reintroduce the 2.2-litre manual version with 4X4 set-up.
