The new Ford Figo facelift will soon get launched in the Indian market. The official launch date of the hatchback is 15th March 2019 and the Ford dealerships across India have started taking the bookings for the new car. Before the official launch, all the specification and variant details of the new Figo have been leaked online on T-BHP.
The 2019 Ford Figo will offer three trim levels – Ambiente, Titanium and Titanium Blue. With the three trims, Ford will offer three different engine options too. Ford will introduce the new 1.2-litre Dragon series three-cylinder petrol engine with the new Figo. It is the same engine, which is already available on the facelifted Aspire and the Freestyle. The diesel variants will carry forward the 1.5-litre diesel engine. Ford will retain the 1.5-litre petrol engine and will offer only the 6-speed automatic with this option. Both the other engines will offer only manual transmissions.
The base trim Ambiente will offer rear fog lamps, black front grille surround with new mesh design, body coloured front and rear bumpers, black ORVMs, black fog lamp bezels and 14-inch steel rims. On the inside, the car will get a charcoal black theme. It gets fabric seat upholstery, adjustable front seat headrests, map pocket, passenger vanity mirror and a 12V charging socket in the front. It also gets manual AC, tilt adjustable steering, Day/Night IRVM, low-fuel warning and distance-to-empty, door ajar warning, front powered windows, electric boot release and electric power steering. Ford will also offer safety features like dual front airbags, ABS+EBD, rear parking sensors, driver & front passenger seat belt reminder and speed sensing auto door lock.
The mid-level Titanium version gets front fog lamp with chrome bezels, chrome grille surround, silver-finish on the grille, body coloured ORVMs, B-Pillar black applique, rear defogger and 14-inch alloy wheels. On the inside, it also gets adjustable rear seat headrest, chrome parking brake lever tip, driver seat height adjustment. It also gets infotainment with a four-speaker system, USB and Bluetooth connectivity and 7-inch touchscreen system with navigation. Other features consist of rearview camera, remote keyless start/stop and entry, steering mounted audio controls, turn indicators mounted on the ORVMs, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs. It also gets a gearshift indicator, one-touch driver up and down window and tachometer. Safety features consist of perimeter alarm, ESP, TCS and HLA.
The top-end Titanium Blu gets absolute black front grille surround, black finish grille mesh, black ORVMs, blue fog lamp bezels and sporty decals on the side and rear. The top-end version also gets a dual-tone roof and 15-inch premium black alloy wheels. On the inside, it gets a blue theme and added features like rain sensing wipers, automatic headlamps, electrochromatic IRVM and leather-wrapped steering wheel. This variant gets 6 airbags with added side and curtain airbags.
The 2019 Figo is expected get an attractive price tag in the market. It will take on the likes of Maruti Suzuki Swift and the Hyundai Grand i10 in the market.
