All-new, 2020 Honda City: Live images straight from the showfloor

Honda revealed the all-new City in Thailand that will be launched in the Indian market next year. The Indian version of the Honda City is expected to be identical in almost all the parameters. Well, after the official images of the all-new Honda City, here are the live images of the City that was officially showcased in Thailand.

The all-new fifth-generation of Honda City revealed in Thailand gets some major changes and it looks quite different from the current version of the Honda City available in India. The pictures were shared on Paultan and it shows the vehicle from all around.

The all-new city gets the latest family design that we have already seen in the vehicles like Honda City and Honda Accord. There is a sleek grille in the front that extends to the width of the vehicle. The headlamps are positioned in a way that they look integrated into the grille itself.

The sleek headlamps look extremely good. The headlamps get newly designed DRL and we can see the projector headlamps in it. However, the higher-end versions will get the all-LED headlamps, which are also available with the current version of the Honda City in the Indian market.

The all-new Honda City gets a new platform too. The side-profile of the all-new Honda City looks quite premium and it gets deep creases on the body. It gets newly designed alloy wheels and similar wheels are expected to be launched in the Indian market too.

At the rear, the all-new Honda City gets split tail lamps. There are LED elements in it and the boot has been designed in a way that it looks much more premium than the current version. The LED tail lamps extend to the side of the vehicle and look extremely good.

Since it is an all-new vehicle, the interior of the City has been designed in a completely new way. It gets a new dual-tone dashboard and a new steering wheel too. The infotainment system takes the central position and the AC vents are positioned beside it. Interestingly, the touch panel AC controls of the current-generation Honda City has been replaced with new knobs and it will be extremely easy to use.

Many customers gave the feedback that the touch panel AC controls are difficult to use since there are no physical buttons and one will have to see the panel to change the temperature.

The vehicle gets four variants in the Thailand market – S, V, SV and RS. However, it is not known if the Indian market will get the RS version. The engine options of the Indian market are expected to remain the same but both the engine options will get upgraded to meet the new BS6 emission compliance.
