2020 Hyundai Creta: Detailed video review of most affordable (EX) variant

Hyundai India launched all-new Creta in the Indian market a few months ago and it has been doing well in terms of numbers. Hyundai has received over 55,000 bookings for the new Creta. The 2020 Creta is entirely different from the older generation in every aspect. It looks different from the outside and offers a lot more features on the inside. The price for Hyundai Creta starts at Rs 9.99 lakh and here we have a video that shows a detailed walk around of the compact SUV’s EX trim, which is the most affordable trim on sale.

The video has been uploaded by MotorCraze on his youtube channel. The video sows what all is offered in the base EX trim of Hyundai Creta. Starting from the exterior, the EX trim gets the wide grille at the front but does not come with any chrome garnish. It gets single projector headlamps, skid plate, boomerang shaped LED DRL and turn indicators in the lower part of the bumper. On the side profile it comes with steel rims with wheel caps, electrically adjustable ORVMs with turn indicators integrated in it. There is black cladding around the wheel arches and lower part of the door. The door handles are also body coloured.

Coming to the rear, there is the split LED tail lamp, faux skid plate and Creta badging. Even the base trim comes with central locking key and the vlogger even shows the boot space in Creta. Coming inside, the cabin looks fairly equipped for a base variant. This is one of the biggest reasons for a lot of buyers opting for the EX trim. It gets a multi function steering wheel, dual tone cabin, all four power windows, analog instrument cluster with digital MID and a touchscreen infotainment screen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

The seats use fabric material and even the rear passengers get a dedicated AV vent. The EXt rim is only available with the 1.5 litre petrol engine that generates 115 Ps and 144 Nm of toorque. It is mated to a manual gearbox and does not get CVT option. The Hyundai Creta is also available with a 1.5 litre diesel engine which comes with a manual and  6-speed automatic option. Hyundai is also offering a 1.4 litre turbo petrol version of Creta which comes with a 7-speed DCT gearbox as standard. The turbo petrol engine makes 138 Bhp-238 Nm, and is quite peppy.
