Facelifted 2020 Toyota Innova Crysta’s Base trim modified to look like top-end trim

Toyota Innova is a very popular MPV in the Indian and other Asian market. Japanese manufacturer launched a slightly revised version of Innova Crysta in the market last year. The Innova Crysta facelift had received several cosmetic and feature updates so that, it doesn’t feel outdated. Just like Innova, the Crysta has also gained popularity among buyers because of its reliable engine, comfort and comparitively low cost of maintenance. We have seen several examples of modified Innova and Innova Crysta in the past. Here we have a video that shows a 2020 faclifted Innova Crysta neatly modified to look like a top-end trim model.

The video has been uploaded by Wow Meenal on her youtube channel. The vlogger had bought a base model of Toyota Innova Crysta and had made several modification to give it a personal touch. That was also the reason behind choosing the base version. Vlogger starts by showing the modification or changes made to the front. The base version of Innova Crysta comes with a regular black grille whereas the top-end trim gets a gloss black treatment. She replaced the regular grille with the gloss black unit.

This being the base variant, it does not offer fog lamps. The headlamps are the same as before. The vlogger has installed an aftermarket LED DRLs inside the headlamps. The garnish around the turn indicators are retained. Coming to the side profile, the owner has installed aftermarket roof rails, rain visors and lower window chrome garnish. A chrome beading has also been fixed on the lower part of doors. At the rear, stock tail lights have been replaced with smoke clear lens LED units. There is an LED bar connecting the tail lights at the rear as well. According to the vlogger the tail lights have been imported. On the bumper, a set of reflector lamps have also been installed.

On the inside, the vlogger has installed a wooden panel on the dashboard which gives it a premium look. Similarly, the steering wheel and the gear knob of the MPV has also been wrapped in black leather with red stitching on it. The door panels gets soft touch material and the switch panels get a carbon fiber finish. In order give it a premium look and finish on the inside, the vlogger has installed black leather seats with red stitching. It fits perfectly and looks good on the car. Another modification done on the inside is the aftermarket wireless charger. It is specifically made for Innova Crysta and fits perfectly. A premium quality floor mats have also been installed inside the car.

Talking about the facelifted Innova Crysta, it now comes with an updated 9 inch touchscreen infotainment screen that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It also gets a different looking 17 inch alloy wheels which enhance the look of Innova Crysta. It is available with both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol version is powered by a 2.7 litre unit that generates 166 Ps and 245 Nm of torque. The diesel version is powered by a 2.4 litre engine that generates 150 Ps and 343 Nm of peak torque. Both petrol and diesel version of Innova Crysta is available with manual and automatic gearbox option.
