2021 Hyundai Alcazar 7 seat SUV revealed in every angle through a 3D model

Hyundai is prepping up for the launch of the Alcazar, which will be their new 7-seater SUV. The manufacturer recently unveiled the sketches of the SUV. The SUV was supposed to be unveiled on 7th April in Rajasthan, but now the pictures of the Alcazar have surfaced over the internet and it shows the SUV in detail.

At the front, we can an entirely different version of Hyundai’s cascading grille. The grille uses a lot of chrome bits with some chrome elements that integrate with the LED headlamps that look similar to the one’s found on the Creta. However, the headlamps have a slightly smoked effect rather than clear glass ones. It gets a different set of foglamps and a faux skid plate that is slimmer. Overall, the front-end design of the SUV looks sporty and premium.

The side profile consists of newly designed dual-tone alloy wheels that should measure 18-inches in size. Alcazar also has stronger character lines as we have seen in the sketches. The strong character lines start from above the front wheel, then goes down the door handles and then goes back up when it reaches the rear wheel arch.

The rear tailgate comes down in a more upright way, making space for the third-row seats. Whereas on the Creta it is slightly sloped. We get larger third-quarter windows that should let in light for the third-row occupants and not make them feel claustrophobic. There is also a side step that should help in easy ingress and egress. There is also a shark fin antenna and roof rails.

Then we come to the rear where there are the most changes. The Alcazar gets an entirely different tailgate design. It gets much larger LED tail lamps that are connected via a chrome strip on which ‘ALCAZAR’ is spelt out. There is a rear wiper with washer, twin-exhaust pipes, high mounted stop lamp and a faux skid plate. It also seems that the Alcazar will also get rear fog lamps.

For the interior, it will be similar to the Creta. It will get dual-tone treatment. In the sketches, the combination of black and tan was used for the dashboard and the upholstery. Having said that, in the spy shots, the upholstery was finished in beige. The dashboard is similar to the Creta so it comes with vertical AC vents, a horizontally mounted 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a four-spoke steering wheel.

Coming to the second-row, the lower variants will get a bench seat. However, in the spy shots, we have seen the captain chairs with a dedicated centre console for the rear occupants. The centre console houses two cupholders and it should also offer other amenities such as a phone tray, wireless charger or USB ports. The third row also gets two seats for which you would have to climb by tumbling the captain seat.

Powering the SUV will be a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, a 1.5-litre diesel engine and a 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine. Hyundai Alcazar will go against the Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus and the upcoming Mahindra XUV500.
