2021 Jeep Compass SUV Facelift: New TVC released

Jeep India launched the facelifted version of their popular SUV Compass in the market recently. The Compass is a premium SUV that competes with the likes of Hyundai Tucson and upcoming Citroen C5 Aircross in the segment. Jeep Compass got launched in the market back in 2017 and ever since then, the manufacturer had made no changes to it. The 2021 facelift is different from the older version and all these updated have also increased the prices. It now starts at Rs 16.99 lakh, ex-showroom and goes up to Rs 28.29 lakh, ex-showroom. Jeep now has released a brand new TVC for the Compass that shows all the changes that are made to it.

The video has been uploaded by Jeep India on their YouTube channel. The video shows all the cosmetic changes that are done to the SUV. There are several changes made to the 2021 Jeep Compass, both inside and outside. Starting with the exterior, it now comes with a redesigned front grille. The headlights now looks a lot more sleeker and it also gets a dual function LED DRL integrated in it. Coming down, you would notice the redesigned bumper. It now looks a lot more muscular and add an imposing SUV look to it.

Moving to the side profile, no major changes can be seen here except for the new set of dual tone machine cut alloy wheels. The chrome garnish around the window area and overall design of the Compass remains unchanged. The rear gets a slightly redesigned bumper and other than that no major changes are seen here. Unlike exteriors, interior of the Jeep Compass get more changes.

2021 Jeep Compass SUV Facelift: New TVC released

The cabin has been completely updated. It now looks a lot premium than before. The dashboard gets leather inserts, there is large 10.1 inch touchscreen infotainment screen that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, new three spoke alloy wheels, fully digital instrument cluster, panoramic sunroof, 360 degree camera, redesigned AC vents, powered tailgate and so on. Jeep is also offering front ventialted seats which is now a common feature on several SUVs. The seats gets leather upholstery, dual zone climate control, electrically adjustable seats, 6 airbags, ABS wit EBD, Brake Assist, traction control, ESC, Hill Start Assist, parking sensors and so on.

Jeep Compass is a proper SUV and comes with both 4×4 and 2WD formats in the market. In terms of engine and transmission, nothing has changed. It is still powered by the same BS6 compliant petrol and diesel engine options. The diesel version of Jeep Compass is powered by a 2.0 litre turbocharged engine that generates 173 Ps and 350 Nm of peak torque. The petrol version of Jeep Compass comes with 1.4 litre turbocharged engine generating 163 Ps and 250 Nm of peak torque.

The Both petrol and diesel engine options get manual and automatic gearbox options. The petrol gets a 7-speed DCT gearbox whereas the diesel engine gets a 9-speed automatic transmission. The petrol version of the Compass is available with a 2WD option whereas the diesel version get 4×4 and 2WD option depending upon the variant you choose.
