Jeep has launched the facelifted version of the Compass in the Indian market today. The car is priced at Rs 16.99 lakh for the base variant. Jeep dealerships across India will commence the customer test drives on February 2nd. The deliveries will also begin on the same day. The new Jeep Compass is available in 11 variants. Also, Jeep is celebrating its 80th anniversary and there are three 80th Anniversary Limited Edition variants launched in the market too. Here is the variant-wise price of the 2021 Jeep Compass.

Commenting on the New Compass, Dr. Partha Datta – Managing Director, FCA India said,

It has a completely new interior available with state of the art features and functionality. We have right-sized our range and reconfigured our feature-packed variants to offer customers options with an optimal value proposition.”
Since it is a facelift model, there are not many changes to the vehicle. On the outside, it gets a new set of headlamps. The new headlamps are sleeker and get LED DRLs. The front also gets the updated seven-slat grille. Jeep has also tweaked the front bumper and has added a larger air dam. The new fog lamp housings and alloy wheels also add a new look to the car.

There are massive changes done to the cabin though. There is a completely revamped dashboard and a new massive 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The new slimmer AC vents are positioned just below the infotainment system. The facelift version gets double-stitched leather inserts on the dashboard and a new three-spoke steering wheel.
The top-spec version of the Compass gets the new UConnect 5 infotainment software. It also offers Amazon Alexa integration and connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Compass now offers wireless Android Auto and Carplay. The new infotainment system can receive OTA updates. Other features include a 360-degree camera, leather upholstery, powered tailgate, 8-way electrically adjustable front seats, ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control system, panoramic sunroof, the digital instrument cluster of 10.25-inch, and more. The safety net includes 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, brake assist, traction control, ESC, hill-start assist, ISOFIX and parking sensors.
Engine options
Jeep has not tweaked the engine options in any way. It gets a 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine that generates a maximum power of 163 PS and offers a six-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The diesel variants get the 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine that generates a maximum power of 170 Bhp and peak torque of 350 Nm. It gets a six-speed manual and an optional 9-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
The updated Jeep Compass will take on the likes of MG Hector, Tata Harrier and Hyundai Tucson in the Indian market. Jeep will also launch a facelifted version of the TrailHawk in a coming days.
