MG Motor launched the Hector SUV in the market back in 2019 and it quickly became popular among buyers. It became so popular that, MG was not able to meet the rising demands and they even had to stop accepting bookings for a while. When launched, MG Hector was most technologically advanced and feature loaded SUV in the segment. Earlier this year, MG launched the 2021 version of the MG Hector SUV with some minor cosmetic changes. They also introduced a new transmission with the SUV as an option. MG is offering number of accessories for the Hector SUV and here we have a video that shows just that.
The video has been uploaded by The Automotives Cafe on their YouTube channel. The vloggers talk about all the changes that is their in the 2021 version of Hector and also show all the accessories that are installed on the car. The vlogger starts by talking about the accessories at the front. The bonnet of MG Hector 2021 gets a pair of chrome plated faux bonnet scoop. The bonnet also gets a black chrome Morris Garages badge as an accessory.
MG also offers chrome garnish running across the bumper between the headlamps. The lower air dam also gets another piece of chrom garnish. The bumper also gets a bumper corner protector. Moving to the side profile, there is again a faux chrome garnished air vent on the side fender. The car also gets a rain visor with chrome garnish in it. Other accessories that MG is offering with Hector SUV is a side step which is not available with Hector normally. The doors get an edge protector as an accessory as well.
As we move towards the rear, just like at the front, there is a Morris Garages badging on the boot as well. The bumpers gets side protectors and the tail gate gets a chrome garnish and there is boot sill plate installed as well. Apart from these, no other accessories have been installed on this Hector. No accessories are installed inside the cabin. The video also shares the price of these accessories and the total cost of installing all these accessories is almost Rs 40,000.
MG Hector is gets a revised grille, LED tail light, bigger alloy wheels, ventilated seats, premium looking cabin with leather inserts on dashboard, electrically adjustable driver and co-driver seat as well. MG has also updated the large touchscreen infotainment screen and it supports Hinglish voice commands as well. Other features like the panoramic sunroof, multi function steering wheel are all retained. It comes with both petrol and diesel engine options.
The petrol version is powered by a 1.5 litre motor generating 143 Ps and 250 Nm of torque. This is engine is available with a Hybrid version as well. The Hybrid version is available with a manual gearbox only. The non-hybrid version however gets a 6-speed manual, DCT and CVT gearbox options. The diesel version of Hector is powered by a 2.0 litre turbocharged diesel engine that generates 170 Ps and 350 Nm of peak torque. This engine is available with a manual gearbox only.
