Toyota India has launched the all-new Glanza days after the arrival of the new-generation Maruti Suzuki Baleno. The all-new Glanza is based on the same platform but it looks significantly different from the previous version. The new Glanza is available in 7 variants. Here is a detailed price list.
The new Glanza gets a completely different face compared to the Baleno. It gets a new grille that makes it look more like the Toyota family. Toyota has even updated the headlamps. The headlamps of the Glanza get L-shaped DRLs that give a unique identity to the new hatchback.

Toyota has also added new alloy wheels to the Glanza. Other than that, the rear of the Glanza gets new split tail lamps similar to the Baleno. There are no other changes in the car. Just like the Baleno, it is an evolution of design over the previous-generation hatchback.
Inside, the Glanza is very similar to the Baleno. It gets a few changes but the features list remains the same. The Toyota Glanza gets a dual-tone dashboard and seats. The vehicle gets new climate control switches as well. The new Glanza gets two analogue dials and a MID on the instrument cluster. The new Glanza also gets a Head-Up Display and 360-degree camera.
The 9.0-inch infotainment system gets wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Toyota has also added the Akramys-tuned sound system that is also available with the Baleno. The infotainment system gets Toyota i-Connect that allows a long list of remote features. The new system also connects to the smartwatch.
Only petrol engine option
Just like the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, the new Glanza is available with the same 1.2-litre DualJet petrol engine. The engine generates a maximum power of 90 PS and peak torque of 113 Nm. The Glanza will be available with a five-speed manual and a five-speed AMT transmission. With the manual, the Glanza returns a maximum fuel efficiency of 22.3 km/l while with the AMT, the fuel efficiency reduces to 22.9 km/l. Compared to the Baleno, the fuel efficiency drops marginally in Glanza.
The new Glanza will take on the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Hyundai i20 and Tata Altroz in the Indian market. Toyota has increased the number of variants on offer with the new Glanza. Unlike the last version, where Toyota only offered two trims, the new Glanza gets four trims and seven variants in total.
Toyota offers an extended warranty package that increases the overall cover to 5 years or 2.2 lakh km. Toyota has also added a number of aftersales service convenience like express service to attract young buyers.
