2022 Hyundai Venue Knight Edition rendered: What it’ll look like

Hyundai recently launched the 2022 Venue in the Indian market. It starts from Rs. 7.53 lakhs ex-showroom and goes up to Rs. 12.72 lakhs ex-showroom. Here, we have a render of the 2022 Venue that has been based on the Creta Knight Edition.

The video is uploaded on YouTube by SRK Designs. The artist has finished the compact SUV in a deep black colour shade. The grille is also now finished in a darker colour. There are red accents on the grille, bumper and on the outside rearview mirrors. The alloy wheels are also different for the Venue Knight Edition.

It is important to note that Hyundai has not officially announced that they will be doing a Knight Edition of the Venue. As of now, only the Creta gets a Knight Edition.

2022 Venue

With the 2022 Venue, Hyundai made several changes that are prominent. The exterior has been redesigned. It gets Hyundai’s new parametric grille that we will also see on the upcoming Tucson.

The headlamp and LED Daytime Running Lamp design is the same but now they come with an LED projector setup instead of halogen. The turn indicators have been redesigned but they are still at the same position. The front bumper is also all-new.

On the sides, there are new alloy wheels. At the rear, the changes are significant. The 2022 Venue comes with new LED tail lamps that are split units. There is also a light bar that connects both the tail lamps. The rear bumper is also new and houses reflectors and reversing lamp.

On the interior, the Venue Facelift comes with a black and being theme. This and the electric sunroof does give an airy feel to the cabin. There is a new D-cut multi-function steering wheel that is taken from the Creta.

The touchscreen infotainment still measures 8-inches in size. However, it has been updated. It now gets Alexa and Googe Home integration, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and sounds of nature. There is also Bluelink-connected car technology and over-the-air firmware upgrades on offer.

You also get a four-way adjustable driver seat, wireless charger, automatic climate control, ambient lighting, voice recognition, keyless entry, push-button to start/stop the engine, air purifier, cruise control, and USB chargers. Hyundai has also added a digital instrument cluster that is taken from the Kia Carens.

For safety, there is a tyre pressure monitoring system, ABS with EBD, up to 6 airbags, Stability Control, Vehicle Stability Management, Hill Assist, Brake Assist, rear parking camera with sensors and ISOFIX child seat mounts.

There are no changes to the engine or the gearbox. So, you get a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated engine, a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. The naturally aspirated engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox whereas the diesel engine gets a 6-speed manual gearbox. The turbo petrol comes with a 6-speed iMT or a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission. If you opt for the DSG then you also get paddle shifters.
