2022 Kia Sonet HTX variant in a detailed walkaround video

Kia Sonet is the entry level model from South Korean carmaker in India. Kia recently launched 2022 version of the Sonet in the market. The price for the 2022 version of Kia Sonet starts at Rs 7.15 lakh, ex-showroom. Sonet has received some feature update along with some cosmetic changes. The car has already arrived at the dealerships. Kia Sonet is a sub-4 meter compact SUV that competes with cars like Maruti Brezza, Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV300 in the segment. Here we have a video where a vlogger shows all the changes on the 2022 Kia Sonet SUV.

The video has been shared by KAMAL YADAV on his YouTube channel. In this video, vlogger talks about the changes that are there on the 2022 version. The overall design and look of the Sonet remains the same as before. The higher models get all LED headlamps, dual-function LED DRLs, projector fog lamps and other features at the front. The side profile of the car reveals 16 inch dual tone alloy wheels, iMT badge in the iMT version, electrically folding and adjustable ORVMs, chrome door handles with request sensor of driver side, LED tail lamps, rear parking sensors and camera, shark fin antenna and a dual tone roof rail.

Coming to the changes in 2022 model Kia Sonet, the manufacturer is now offering side airbags and Highline Tyre Pressure Monitoring System as standard. The iMT variant which is seen in the video here gets Vehicle Stability Management, Hill Assist Control, Brake Assist and Electronic Stability Control. Kia is offering curtain airbags from HTX+ variant onwards. Kia is also offering a 4.2 inch colour instrument cluster from the HTX variant. From the base HTE variant onwards, Kia is offering a semi-leatherette upholstery.

The Sonet logo on the tailgate has been updated and the same is shown in the video as well. Kia is now offering the 2022 Sonet in 21 variants. Other than these updates, the car is also available in two new colour options. Kia is offering Imperial Blue and Sparkling Silver shade with the Sonet but the colour seen here in the video is Intense Red. Price for Kia Sonet now starts at Rs 7.15 lakh, ex-showroom and goes up to Rs 13.09 lakh, ex-showroom. The HTX iMT variant seen here in the video costs Rs 10.79 lakh, ex-showroom.

Along with Sonet, Kia also launched the 2022 Seltos SUV in the market. Just like Sonet, Seltos also received two new colour options and other feature updates. Kia Sonet is available with three engine options. There is a 1.2 litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that generates 83 Ps and 115 Nm of peak torque. This engine is available with a manual gearbox only. The next engine on offer is the 1.5 litre turbo diesel engine. This engine comes with manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission option. The engine generates 100 Ps and 240 Nm of peak torque. The last engine on offer is the 1.0 litre, three-cylinder turbo petrol engine. The engine comes with a 6-speed manual, 6-speed iMT and a 7-speed DCT gearbox option. The engine generates 120 Ps and 172 Nm of peak torque.
