Toyota recently updated the Glanza. As we know, it is based on the new Baleno. It is offered in four variants. There is E, S, G and V. Here, we have a video, in which the E and S variant is compared. The E is the base variant and the S variant is the one-up variant.
The video is uploaded on YouTube by Know Your Car- MOHAMMED NADEEM. In the video, there are two Glanzas. The white one is the E variant whereas the Blue one is the S variant. The E variant is priced at Rs. 6.39 lakhs ex-showroom and S variant is priced at Rs. 7.29 lakhs ex-showroom. So, there is a difference of Rs. 90,000 between both the variants.

The front of both variants is identical. There is the same new grille, projector headlamps, chrome surrounds for the fog lamps and the plastic cladding that forms the horns. On the sides, there is black coloured outside rearview mirrors and door handles whereas on the S variant they are body-coloured. Moreover, the turn indicator is placed on the fender in the E variant whereas the S variant gets a turn indicator on the outside rearview mirrors.
The wheels measure 15-inches and are steel wheels with wheel covers. The pillars on the E variant are finished in body colour whereas on the S variant they are blacked out. At the rear, the only difference is the variant badging. They both get the same LED tail lamps setup.
Then the host climbs into the interior. On the E variant, you get manual control for the outside rearview mirrors, no multi-function steering wheel, no infotainment system, no speakers and no USB socket. On the S you get an electrical adjustment, audio controls mounted on the steering wheel, an infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, speakers, electrically foldable ORVMs and USB charging.
Both the variants do not come with seat height-adjustable driver seats, armrest, electro-chromatic inside rearview mirrors, rear AC vents cruise control, keyless entry, push-button to start/stop the engine. However, both come with dual-tone black and beige theme, a piano-black insert on the dashboard, a multi-information display, an analogue instrument console etc.
Both variants get the same amount of safety features. There are dual airbags, ABS with EBD, a high-speed alert system and rear parking sensors. However, the S variant is also offered with an AMT gearbox whereas the E variant is offered only with a manual gearbox. If you opt for the AMT gearbox then you also get Vehicle Stability Control and Hill Hold Control.
Glanza is offered with a single petrol engine. It is a 1.2-litre, four-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 90 Ps of max power and 113 Nm of peak torque. It is either mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 5-speed AMT.
The prices of the Glanza starts at Rs. 6.39 lakhs ex-showroom and goes up to Rs. 9.69 lakhs ex-showroom. It competes against Hyundai i20, Tata Altroz, Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Honda Jazz, Volkswagen Polo and the upcoming Citroen C3.
