Toyota recently launched the updated Glanza premium hatchback in the market. Toyota has launched the new Glanza weeks after the new-generation Baleno has arrived in the market. The price for the all-new Toyota Glanza start at Rs 6.39 lakh and goes up to Rs 9.69 lakh, ex-showroom. In comparison to the Maruti Baleno and previous generation Glanza, the all-new hatchback looks different. Toyota has now launched an official TVC for the Glanza which shows the car inside out.
The video has been uploaded by Toyota India on their YouTube channel. The car looks different from the previous version. It now gets a revised front fascia which gives it a sporty look. In fact, some may find it better than the one seen on the all-new Maruti Baleno. Unlike previous generation Toyota made some efforts to make changes to the exterior design to differentiate it from Baleno. It gets a sleek looking front grille with chrome strip running through the centre. The chrome strip actually joins the headlamp giving it a uniform look.

The headlamp design remains the same but, the LED DRLs are designed differently. Coming down to the bumper, the Glanza gets a much more muscular looking bumper with black cladding in it. The fog lamps are LED unit and there are chrome garnishes around that as well. Other than this, the Glanza gets new 16 inch alloy wheels and at the rear the design is similar to what we have seen in the new Baleno.
On the inside, just like Baleno, the interiors in the Glanza have also been updated. It now gets a new floating type touchscreen infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The infotainment system also supports voice commands. There is a multi-function steering wheel and other features like automatic climate control, cruise control, Head-Up Display and many more features. Toyota Glanza and Baleno are the only cars in this segment to come with this feature along with the 360 degree camera.
Just like many other modern day car, Toyota Glanza also comes with several connected car features. This feature allows user to check various things about the car including the location. Toyota Glanza is powered by the same engine as Baleno. It uses a 1.2 litre DualJet petrol engine that generates 90 Ps and 113 Nm of peak torque. The earlier version of Glanza was available with manual and CVT gearbox options. In the new version, the Glanza is available with a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT gearbox option which makes it much more fuel efficient that the older model.
The Toyota Glanza also gets the Idle Start Stop feature which helps improving the overall fuel economy. Toyota Glanza manual version has an ARAI certified fuel economy of 22.3 kmpl and the the AMT version returns 22.9 kmpl. Toyota is offering extended warranty package that extends the warranty cover to 5 years or 2.2 lakh kms. Glanza is available in E, S, G and V variants. Except for the base E variant, all other variants are available with manual and AMT gearbox option.
