2022 Yezdi Roadking 350 Adventure Tourer spied: Will Rival Royal Enfield Himalayan

Classic Legends has already brought back Jawa and they are working on reviving Yezdi and BSA.  Now, the upcoming Yezdi’s adventure tourer motorcycle has been spied. It is expected to be called Roadking because a trademark for the same nameplate was filed. The 2022 Yezdi Roadking 350 will be directly competing against the Royal Enfield Himalayan.

The video is uploaded by The Fat Biker on YouTube. We can see the design, engine and riding triangle of the rider. This is the most detailed video of the upcoming adventure tourer that has ever surfaced on the internet.

The Yezdi Roadking 350 is expected to have the same engine as the Perak which is currently the flagship motorcycle of Jawa. So, it will be a 334 cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected, liquid-cooled engine. It produces 30 PS of max power and 33 Nm of peak torque. It comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

The design language follows function over form just like we have seen with the Royal Enfield Himalayan. We can see that the riding triangle is upright with slightly forward set footpegs. There is a tall and wide handlebar just like we have seen on other adventure tourers. So, we can expect the Roadking 350 to be quite comfortable for the rider.

Up-front there is a circular headlamp that comes with an LED setup. There is a beak-like mudguard and fork gaiters are also installed on the motorcycle. We can also see a windscreen that will protect the rider from windblast while riding on highways.

It is running on spoked wheels so we expect that the tyres will not be tubeless. There is also an additional frame that surrounds the front of the fuel tank. It is probably there to protect the motorcycle in case of a crash and it might also be used to mount jerry cans or soft bags. We have already seen a similar exoskeleton on the Royal Enfield Himalayan.

At the rear, there are circular turn indicators and a circular LED tail lamp. Unlike, the Jawa motorcycles that use twin exhausts on either side, Yezdi Roadking uses a single exhaust which has an upswept design to increase the ground clearance. There is also a saddle that stays mounted on the sides. We expect Yezdi to offer a lot of genuine accessories that will make the Roadking more touring friendly.

Suspension duties are done by a conventional suspension in the front and a mono-shock at the rear. There is also a bash plate installed on the motorcycle to protect the engine from the rocks. The front wheel is expected to measure 19-inches while the rear one is expected to measure 17-inches. Braking duties are done by a disc in the front as well as the rear. A Dual-channel Anti-lock braking system should be offered as standard equipment.

Other things we notice are split seats, which are flat so they should be comfortable over long journeys. The fuel filler cap is not integrated into the fuel tank. Moreover, it seems like there is a digital instrument cluster. We expect the Yezdi Roadking 350 to be launched sometime next year.
