While the launch of the Hyundai Verna is just around the corner, more and more details about the sedan are emerging. We already know how the sedan looks from the outside and what all features it gets for its exterior since the details and pictures of Verna’s exterior have already leaked. Now, more information about the interior of the new Verna has come out in the open, which tells a lot about the new features which will be offered in the new version of the sedan.
Like the exterior, Hyundai has completely transformed the cabin of the new Verna. The interior now features a dual-screen for the driver’s cockpit, much like in the Mahindra XUV700. The wide cockpit houses two 10.25-inch full-HD screens. The screen behind the steering wheel displays a fully-digital instrument console, the fonts and layouts of which look inspired by that of the Kia Carens. The screen placed to its left is a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The new Hyundai Verna also gets segment-first switchable type infotainment and climate control interfaced placed in the lower centre console. This touch-sensitive panel can be used as a control panel for both the audio system and climate control systems, depending on the requirement. Another segment-first feature offered by Hyundai Verna is the heating function for the front seats, in addition to the ventilation function already available in the outgoing model.
Many other features
Other prominent features to be offered in the cabin of the all-new Hyundai Verna are single-zone automatic climate control, single-pane sunroof, rear AC vents, 8-speaker BOSE audio system, cruise control and wireless charger. The exterior images of the new Verna have already leaked a few days ago, which confirm that the sedan will get horizontal LED positioning lamps spread across the width of the bonnet. The new Verna also gets full-LED headlamps and projector fog lamps at the front and parametric connected LED tail lamps at the back.
It is confirmed that the new Hyundai Verna will be sold as a petrol-only car, like all of its direct competitors, including Honda City, Volkswagen Virtus, Skoda Slavia and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz. The engine options to be offered in the new Verna include a 1.5-litre 115 PS four-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine from the outgoing model. This engine will be offered with both 6-speed manual and CVT gearbox options. There will also be a new 1.5-litre 160 PS four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine shared with the Alcazar, which will be offered with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
