Honda has just released a teaser for its super-popular Honda Accord’s 2023 edition.

2023 Honda accord teaser out: Looks a lot sharper

For the 2023 year, the Japanese carmaker has given the 11th gen Accord a considerably sharper and sportier exterior design moving it a bit further away from the previous generation’s classy and understated design language. On the front, the headlamps have received a modern look with strip-LED daytime running lights above it and LED lighting below. The grille gets a hexagonal shape with squared-off corners and a mesh design. Meanwhile from the pictures released we can note that the rear has a raised boot lid and a black piece that houses the full-width LED strip and the LED taillamp.

Honda has also teased the new interior of the 11th-generation Honda Accord and it is anticipated to resemble the cabin of the current gen Civic which is available for sale in the international markets. The new 12.3-inch free-standing touch display will be the highlight of the new vehicle’s interior and will help in providing a much cleaner appearance. The all-new upcoming Honda Accord is also anticipated to include an enhanced music system to match the screen, including a 10-speaker premium audio system with a 450-watt amplifier. We can further expect all the creature comforts and features of the modern day to be a part of the long list that will be offered in the latest iteration of this iconic sedan.

As of now, Honda has not announced any details about the powertrain for the upcoming Honda Accord, but according to media reports, it will be a hybrid. Currently, a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 192 horsepower and 260 Nm of torque is offered in the midsize car. Meanwhile, the second engine option offered in the Accord is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine with 252 horsepower and 370 Nm of torque. The 2.0-liter four-cylinder hybrid-assisted electric engine produces 212 horsepower overall.

In other recent Honda news, the company is preparing to reveal its Hyundai Creta competitor for India on November 2, 2022. In Indonesia, which is also the vehicle’s first market, the new Honda compact SUV will be introduced in a world premiere. Honda will introduce its compact SUV to the Indian market sometime in the following year. The 2023 Indian Auto Expo, which is set to take place early in the following year, would likely include the new Honda compact SUV.

The Amaze platform is anticipated to be used by the upcoming Honda compact SUV, making it capable of supporting both petrol and diesel engines. However, as demand for diesel-powered vehicles is declining worldwide, including in India, it seems doubtful that a diesel engine would be included in the final production version. A petrol-only strategy is most likely. Similar to the petrol hybrid powerplant available on the most recent City sedan, Honda Cars India is anticipated to offer a petrol-hybrid option to replace diesel on the forthcoming small SUV. When the SUV is formally unveiled next week, more information will become available.
