The new sedan is designed to offer a futuristic and ferocious appeal and aims to attract customers to the segment. The new design is based on Hyundai’s Global Design Identity of ‘Sensuous Sportiness’ and the car features aerodynamic and sleek proportions with chiseled surfaces that give it a bold and contemporary new look. The sedan’s unique design is also carried over to the rear, with a seamless blend of innovative technology and a charismatic look. According to Mr. Unsoo Kim, MD & CEO of Hyundai Motor India Ltd, the all-new Hyundai VERNA will define new aspirations and pave the way for futuristic experiences.

Set to be released on March 21st, the new Verna is set to wow drivers with its unique features and powerful engine.

One of the most striking elements of the new Verna is the large parametric grille at the front, which is being integrated into many new Hyundai models to tie them all together in the lineup. The front of the new Verna will also have a split headlight and LED DRL setup, but the most unique aspect of the sedan will be the long seamless LED DRL that extends from one end to the other at the front, giving it a distinctive appearance. The front bumper will be extremely sharp as well.

Under the hood, the new Verna is expected to be offered with an all-new, powerful engine – a 1.5-liter turbo-petrol unit. While exact details of the engine’s specs are not yet available, sources suggest it may be able to generate 260-265 Nm of peak torque and 160 PS of peak power. This engine could come mated with manual and DCT transmissions. If this happens – it will be be more powerful than the Volkswagen Virtus on paper – and may replace it as the performance king of the road!

With the release of the newest generation of Verna, Hyundai is sure to turn heads and make a splash in the mid-size sedan market. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting new car.
