Kia is all set for its next big launch in the Indian car market, the facelifted version of the Seltos. The refreshed Kia Seltos is reported to be launched in India in mid-2023, which is sometime between July to September. It means that the new Kia Seltos facelift might arrive just before the festive season in India.
The Kia Seltos facelift has already been launched in many global car markets last year, however, it is yet to arrive officially in India. The new Seltos was expected to be showcased at the Auto Expo 2023, but the SUV was nowhere to be seen at the biggest display event in India. Much like the global model, the new Seltos facelift will get tweaks to its exterior, a new cabin layout and revised powertrain options.
Talking about the exterior changes, the new Kia Seltos facelift will get a reworked fascia, with a tweaked front grille and new headlamps with revised daytime running LEDs and fog lamps. Even the front bumper will be all new with a redesigned skid plate. While the side profile will receive only a new set of alloy wheels, the Seltos facelift will get tweaked LED tail lamps with an LED connecting light bar across the width of the boot lid at the back.

The cabin layout of the new Kia Seltosw facelift will also be different from the current model, with the new model getting a new cockpit layout for the instrument console and touchscreen infotainment system. While the instrument console will be an all-digital affair, the centre console will be revised with new controls for the audio system and climate control. Like in the international model, the automatic versions might get a rotary knob-style transmission lever.
Same mechanicals
The Kia Seltos facelift will retain the 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated 115 PS petrol engine and the 1.5-litre 115 diesel engine. However, the 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine will be discarded for a new 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine. Hyundai has already dropped the 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine from the Creta’s lineup for 2023, and Kia is expected to do the same alongside discontinuing the current pre-facelift model.
According to reports, the new 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine will continue to be offered with both the options of a 6-speed manual and 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmissions. The engine is reported to claim 160 PS of maximum power and 253 Nm of peak torque output.
